Why are christians always talking about fighting, going in to battle and shouting for victory? Religion has done more to segregate and/or kill more people than any natural phenomenon. I`m right in the middle of the bible belt, surrounded by people like this. I wish I could afford to move. Like Gandhi said "I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ"

You people should try living in my house with my mother and my sister. They watch church tv and put on the sermons every morning
theres a lot of religion bashing here, and generally id say that fancy is trolling with these pictures. the majority of religious people i no are normal individuals who function just as well as atheists do. unfortunately it seems a lot of people here are antisocial and live on the internet so they arent aware of this--they only no wat they see on the internet
does believing that the world poofed into existence vs. God`s creation really change the fact that we`re here? metaphysical mysteries are a waste of time.
we`re alive this planet, live it up!

@ Gortrok and othedrama:

I agree with you on most of your points. ESPECIALLY about the fundamentalists. Anything (especially religion) when taken to extremes can be dangerous, and has shown to be so in the past. But I really don`t think most people on these boards bash Christians for what went on during the crusades. That would be ridiculous. I was just saying I find it hysterical to see people on these boards saying thing in the ilk of `OMG anyone who believes this poo is close minded/retarded/living in the dark ages/etc.` Not trying to start any flame wars... I honestly don`t care enough to do so. Just pointing out a little observation.
And as far as modern day prosthelytising by normal people (NOT in the form of these retarded pjs haha)... if you TRULY believed someone was going to hell if they did not believe in God, how much would you have to hate them NOT to share what you believe?

"how many blatantly intolerant people bash Christianity"

I`m sorry, but those things harken back to the age of the Crusades, where Christian warriors were slaughtering their way throughout Europe in an attempt to "convert" everyone to Christianity by force. Surely you wouldn`t want to reinforce this mentality in your children? I would agree that the Bible of course wouldn`t be promoting that type of thing, but these are clear, undeniable symbols of those dark times.

Oops, must make it internet-approved: "LOL WTF thoz st00pid kids" ;)

@wickedsngr: And then some. :(

Unfortunately these PJ`s are scary though just like some rather out there fundamentalists. I don`t think the glazed look in the boy`s eyes is helping whatever cause this is supposed to be addressing, however in the end, the people who made this are just as closed-minded as 85% of this board. Believe me. I have had to deal with them.

While I find the pj`s themselves lame and stupid, it never ceases to amaze me how many blatantly intolerant people bash Christianity (not all religion... I don`t think I`ve ever seen any Anti-semetic posts or Buddha bashing on IAB) all in the name of "open mindedness." Hypocritical much?

Man, screw PJ`s...I want some real friggin` heavy plate mail!

After all, it isn`t the armor that`s a metaphor...it`s what each piece represents that is. You`re wearing 50 pounds of indestructablitiy while all that "truth", "righteousness", and "faith" are just in your head.

Uhmmm, I think the Mormons beat ya too that idea. Look up Mormon underwear.

I`m a Christian and I think these PJ`s are kinda silly. However, It doesn`t hurt anyone and if it helps a kid get to sleep then good for them.

Most of the posts I have seen for this are bashing religious people. Part of being a "free thinker" is being tolerant and accepting of others who are different from you. So I am not seeing many tolerant and accepting free thinkers. Also I doubt these kids will have to worry about ridicule from peers. Their little friends are probably kids from other similar homes. Strict Religous Parents usually will only approve a same-gender sleepover with children of families where they know the parents. Believe me, I know from firsthand experience as child growing up with a devout Pentecostal mother and grandparents. i have been yanked out of co-ed sleepovers hosted by church groups.

This is a good product. Some kids in strict religious families don`t get much stimulation for their imaginations so letting them pretend they are armored for God is a way for them to expand their minds within the boundaries setfor them by their parents.

@iamboredtooo: see my post to campbronc2. You both need to educate yourselves on when religion started, who has been perpetuating it, and who, the whole time, has been fighting it. Us 40-50 year old, "old" atheists and agnostics are no different than you except that we actually have gone out and educated ourselves instead of just sheepishly agreeing with whatever cool, emo-sounding post is made against religion. Look up Thomas Morton. Read about him. He was a contemporary of the PILGRIMS, who, in case you have never heard of them, existed in the 1600s. Consider what he did and see if you have 1/100th the balls of that guy.

@champbronc2: Um, dude, free think on this for a minute: there have *always* been free thinkers. You didn`t invent nor did you perfect it (obviously). Ever heard of Newton? Darwin? Thomas Morton (a most excellent example from colonial times whose intellect and free thinking would make you piss your pants!)? Ever read our Constitution? Ever read any of the writings of the American Transcendentalists? Free think yourself over that for a few years of actual education, you git, then recognize that your mind hasn`t even been exposed to anything yet that might actually be considered "free thinking".

@iamboredtooo:

I am among the most andi-Fundamentalists people You`ll eve meet, and at first your statement seemed to make perfect sense, but after reading osiris` comment, maybe he`s right. Certainly not ALL 40-50 year olds are as kind and "on our side" as he, but perhaps there are more "good old people" out there than we realize. We only fail to see them because we don`t pick fights with them in the streets.
I am forced against my will to attend a Church of Christ and I have seen teenagers, people MY age, acting as stupid as any 60-year-old-fundie. It is these institutions of mind games and slavery that must be destroyed, not an entire generation. I appreciate finding someone who shares my radical beliefs, but Osiris seems to be your friend, not your enemy. Notice He didn`t once say "Jesus doth fill my heart with gladness" or "Repent, sinner!" in his post. The real enemy is the fundamentalist church.

@ iamboredtooo: I take offense at your statement. I happen to be 43, and I`m certainly not "playing power games of ego and mind games".

Is your wish a blanket thing? When YOU hit the big 4-0, will you "die in your sleep" as well?

I seem to recall that MY generation is the one that laid the groundwork for YOURS. MY generation is the one that advanced the technology that you use to put such ridiculous statements out there for the world to see.

Whether or not you are capable of comprehending it, those of us between the ages of 40-50 are on YOUR side. The baby-boomers and the generation that came before them are the problem, not those of us who followed them.

Your statement is easily one of the dumbest things I`ve ever seen anyone post on IAB.

Learn who your enemies are. Those of us who were born in the 1960`s are the ones who made your fight possible.
