And I`m speaking as a Brit who loves the best from both sides - South Park, Big Bang Theory, George Carlin just as funny to me as QI or Python.
There is a subtle nuance you`re probably missing, which is that the very erudite and intelligent Mr Fry rarely trips over his own tongue, and therefore there is a certain wicked glee in the bundle that ensues...
Or it could just be the people crying with laughter is contagious.
Either works for me. QI is the dogs.
Alan`s impression of Karl Benz last Friday was hilarious.
My dear Pel, if your understanding of British humour is an extended Billy Madison clip, then I`m afraid you may be a victim of the latter explanation.
And I get it. Don`t think I don`t. He tripped over his words, and they made fun of him for it. And from what I can gather from every piece of British comedy I`ve ever actually watched, Brit humor is just a prolonged version of dinner scene from Billy Madison. If that`s the case maybe I am too dumb of an American to wrap my mind around that kind of humor.
How do people NOT get this?? It`s so funny!
In other news, Stephen Fry is one of my favourite people ever =] he`s so cuteeee
QI is the poo.
