Wow, that is really great. I would market it as a line of cell phones for seniors and children.

Well, I mean, unless you`re going to bash it in, it`s still pretty "unbreakable" by normal standards, I suppose.

Yeah, if he was a more glib reporter he would have said "well, the good news is I just earned myself a new phone!" or something like that to save the guy some face.. he was obviously defenseless.

I don`t think the company that produced the phone expected it to be rapidly bashed into the pointy end of a rectangle...

You know, I`m an IS technician, and for the number of times I`m on a ladder in a day or crawling through some god-awful attic, something like that would be perfect for me! Now does it come in a smart phone version?

well, you know, i don`t go around smashing my phone on things so i`d say that that thing is probably pretty unbreakable by normal standards.

@iBergrindin

Yes he did. He keeps all his dignity because of that one word "basically." As long as you don`t hammer with the screen side you should be fine. I saw that coming right when he started hitting with that side. The screen is the easiest thing to break on any phone because it is the most vulnerable.

Haha, fail. Reminds me of the `unbreakable` keyboard my mum got me. That I broke.

It`s only the screen on those things that`s vulnerable, really.
I`ve had a similar model to that one for 5 years and it`s fine.
A friend of mine broke the screen by drop kicking at his friends face and one of my Dad`s friends used his on several building sites for the 3 years he had it and it was fine.

He said "basically" unbreakable, allowing him to keep at least some of his dignity.

That`s so funny, because clearly they did not expect the phone to break when he whacked it on the corner. Before I watched the vid, I thought he was going to break it on purpose, but that was pure accident, just trying to prove how great the phone was. The irony! (and yes, in this case, it is irony. Breaking a phone when trying to prove it can`t be broken is irony)

So he cracked the screen? Probably still fully functional. I would have pulled out a glock and shot it.

He`s thinking

"Back to the display screen drawing board."

This is the same concept of a bullet proof window; The layers will stop a bullet, but a sharp object will spread it thin and rupture.

Not designed to take on sharp metal corners in the most sensitive part, the screen.

I know it`s off topic, but i`ve just been on the NFL site for the Superbowl info and someone has actually wrote this in the comments regarding The Who`s halftime show.

"this is going to be one of the worse super bowl half time shows. they should get some one that is actually good like eminem or drake to perform."

I mean, i know music tastes vary and all that but.............well..............what a tool.

i dont think they meant smash the screen on a sharp corner repeatedly and it wont break... cuz that is how it broke lol

I love how it took almost nothing to break it. Just how strenuous were the quality tests?

Reminds me of all those cartoons I watched as a kid where the sales man trys to sell "unbreakable" watches, only to have the first consumer break it.
