" `Why do all her friends need to know her grandma died?`

Because Grandma can`t update her facebook to tell people she`s dead."

Batmanners, the genius of the snide commenter thrives deep within you...

Someone should turn in some of the conversations I have had on the internet. Just to see what people would say.

"Why do all her friends need to know her grandma died?" Because she`s grieving and this tells them why without her having to explain it over and over again. I`m not saying there aren`t people who do this for attention, but there are also people who are sharing legitimate emotions. And I don`t think disrespecting somebody`s grief is particularly funny. That just crosses a line.

@weirdgrrl
Broadcasting your life on FB is stupid. Tombstones and obituaries are the appropriate media for memorials. This is fishing for sympathy. Why do all her friends need to know her grandma died? I`m sure those that were close enough to Grandma Betty to care already knew she was dead before this chick posted it up online. Mark, however, is a douche... but funny...

"You dont broadcast your tragedy to the world it makes it less personal."

First of all, she didn`t broadcast her tragedy to the world, she posted it on Facebook; IAB broadcast it to the world. Secondly, sometimes you don`t feel like having to inform every single person individually that you`ve suffered a devestating loss. So you tell them en masse, not so different from an obituary. Nothing wrong with that. It`s just unfortunate for her that one of her so-called friends is an a$$.

learn how to use a calendar first before you mourn, for f`ucks sake. I use calendars so many more times in life than I grieve, get your priorities straight

I think what Mark was trying to convey was that he felt Emily waited an excessive amount of time to post about her deceased grandmother.

BTW, this was unexpected - IAB`s spellchecker didn`t underline `ballsiness` in red when I typed it. `Ballsiness` is a real word!??

I know I should be all like "What a douche, where`s his feelings" etc etc... but you have to admire the sheer audacity and ballsiness of cutting through the social norms and false platitudes and just saying what you genuinely feel is the most important thing to be said under the circumstances.

Mark is my Hero For Today (sorry Davy).

"um...tht`s kinda funny but at the same time sad
ppl reakky cant rely on ppl 4 sympathy"

lol`d at this post being from someone named demonbaby

Also, to the legions of people saying,"wow, he`s kind of an non-nice individual"

That`s sort of what the humor is derived from, if you must justify it to not feel bad for laughing at it, consider the second most popular reply, she had no business putting this on facebook.

Some things are for your real friends and family show some respect and dont turn it into a mere fb attention grab.

well maybe his grandma was laying down dead and bloated in her house for 2 months until someone noticed that even the flies go outside to puke from the stench and called the cops and they found her then... so technically she died in 2009 but her grandson only found out about it today.. possible
