use on screen keyboard for the people who can`t type. no extra keyboard, and yet, a keyboard!
How would you expect me to program without a keyboard? lol
What planet do you live on? No one has a laptop or uses a keyboard anymore? Get a grip, man.
There are cheaper players than the iPod but none of them are better. I still question the move of putting a damn camera on them. Just seemed frivolous.
I formerly used the iPhone 3G and was impressed until I found out the things AT&T wouldn`t tell me.
The iPad looks like a nice piece of hardware but there are other internet tablets that are really just better. Maybe their screens aren`t bigger and maybe they don`t bear the Apple logo, but there are better out there.
There are improvements Apple can make on some of their products but they haven`t listened and their new product proves that.
Did you really expect a tablet to not have a touch screen?
No, but I do have a 1680 x 1050 multi-touchscreen laying around somewhere. And it`s a year and a half old. Apple took a step back on the stairway of technology with this thing.
I guess you have a lot of 768 x 1024 multi-touchscreen displays around
But the hype for apple stuff does get annoying after a time.
0. drating iHype all over again!
On the one hand, this is trouble, on the other hand, this is genius if they can pull it off.
You`re not replacing your computer, so it doesn`t matter if you already own one. You`re not replacing your phone. Same again.
Maybe they were worried some Macheads wouldn`t feel a need to own a product not iSomething.
Usual complaints: Screen issues. (Including durability, touchscreen issues, needing to use a stylus, keyboard issues).
Saying as the development of their touchscreen is supposedly the key point of the device, with 2 years of hammering out the bugs in that single piece of technology, they basically have a tablet (which people wanted) without the things people complained about (which they did after they got tablets and found out how they work).
Not only that, this technology comes out AFTER an intermediary device (iPhone) which has gotten consumers used to using it to a degree.
Keep in mind, GAME CDs failed. The Playstation was tagged as "going to be a massive failure", "Sega already tried CDs and it failed", "They`re just bringing us redundant technology", etc.
Doing it right after a competitor`s failure, is not the same as doing it wrong "again".
Not sure... that sounds awful close to something else not-very-nice too. They should`ve just called it the Apple Tablet ffs; I really don`t understand Steve`s obsession with i-this and i-that.
I dislike touch screen. I have small hands but I still end up poking the wrong thing. I WANT BUTTONS, DAMMIT!
Not because you bought two though...because you put "64Mb"...lol
The thing is a total piece of crap. You could spend $200 on a netbook that can do 100x the things that thing does. Or, you could spend $400 and get a laptop that blows nearly every function of that paper weight out of the water.
I would love to personally smack each person that is dumb enough to buy this thing.
I laughed out loud at the conference...and I like the iPhone...so...not good for Apple.
dude they were just waiting for them to become something sorta in the back of everyones mind, improve on the other ones failures, and slap a label on it. its how they do.
-Black Turtleneck *check*-i(Something) *check*-Millions of dollars guaranteed to be in his pocket because of his presentation. *check*-The gullibility of consumers to buy an over-sized, over-priced, under-powered iPhone. *Priceless*
It`s ok, I lived in the midwest for 80% of my life - we`re cool :)
