You know whats weird? I went to my main youtube page today and I was recommended an episode of Unsolved Mysteries, for the story of Don Decker. o_o; I clicked on it, watched it, and I started watching more episodes of Unsolved Mysteries from the side bar (you know where it shows more recommendations of similar videos)...

Apparently a lot of these strange stories are featured on Unsolved Mysteries... I found the raining blobs story, the frozen woman story, and the Donnie Decker one. I thought I would share that. XD

Actually, the first one is plausible, even if the exact details of the story may be BS. Read John Krakauer`s book on his ascent of Everest. Climbers were caught in a blizzard at night coming down from the summit and got lost. They spent the entire night exposed in 40 below conditions. The next day a search party found the bodies. They literally chipped ice off of one guy`s face and were shocked to discover he was still alive. Given his condition and their lack of resources, they decided he wouldn`t make it and left him there. Hours later, he stumbles into camp. He`s still alive today and does lectures on his experience. Sorry I can`t remember his name, but the book is a great read. Assuming anyone still reads.

I read the first one, googled it, found out it was based on a fictional story published in the early 1980s, and stopped reading.

#7 Tesla was a genius, many of his experiments cannot be replicated. Why isn`t it called the "Tesla Effect"?? The man gets no credit...
#5 yeah that lake just went under the ice and flowed away, no real mystery.
#4 On the other hand, strange things fall from the sky a LOT! look up "Charles Fort" or the Fortean Times http://www.forteantimes.com/

Actually, number 5 has been solved for quite a long time. Too lazy to check my sources, but basically what happened was that a glacier in the mountain was acting has some sort of dam. Due to global warming it weakened and yielded to the lake`s water mass, which caused it to break. The water then flooded the nearby area and drained into small rivers.

This list doesn`t hold a candle to cracked. No links, no sources of any kind.

I saw a ghost! But I didn`t get a picture, so you`ll have to take my word for it...

This list is a bunch of crap. Take the disappearing lake, for example. Scientists do, in fact, know what happened, and they have known since only a few weeks after it was discovered.

"Experts now say melting glaciers put pressure on an ice wall that acted as a dam, causing it to give way.

"Water in the lake flowed out of the breach into a nearby fjord and then out to the sea, said Andres Rivera, a glaciologist with Chile`s Centre of Scientific Studies."

Link

Even their claim that there were no earthquakes is false. There was a strong earthquake nearby in April. I get the feeling that this entire list was cobbled together ten minutes before deadline.

Oh come on you guys. The word "god" being in the caption in a humorous and non-serious way is not an excuse to start a religion war.

"Haha way to make a point - Insult everyone.. What are you proving.. Hypocrisy at its finest.. What happened to turn the other cheek and forgiveness my righteous Christian friend?? I mean I don`t deliberately go around "Christian Bashing" as you put it but when you go around bashing every member of I-a-b in a 5 year old style hissy fit well it kind of makes me want to hit you where it hurts.. your religion. Ouch..."

When did he say anything about being Christian? Nonetheless, this is like the second time I`ve seen the "where`s your god now" caption in the last week, and while I don`t usually take offense to the "anti-religion" posts (let`s face it, there`s some religious freaks out there!) this does kind of put me off, as does your incessant number of jabs at the poster. Kind of makes me want to hit you where it hurts...in the kitchen. Ooooooo!!!

Inb4 "what does god have to do with it" - Nothing. It`s an expression. (I swear I`ve said that before.)

Good stories. Most not verifyable, but interesting. The last one reeked of BS though.

The first one about the woman freezing and coming back to life with no brain damage- I thought I heard before that when someone falls into a freezing lake they can stay under for longer than in a warm lake because their metabolism slows down and their brain is preserved for longer than normal.
I don`t know if that`s true but that would explain how the woman in the story survived.

the human body is insane, but the girl was from dakota not minnesota. for the carroll a. deering, it was probably pirates. tesla was a vampire (dont know how many will get the reference). the blobs were probably part of some experiment or weapons test. as for donnie decker, i couldnt find in trustworthy source that this actually happened.
