Hint that won"t help you at all: It came right before "Club Penguin" and "Webkinz."
In a somewhat worrying piece of news, ... Topping the lists: “YouTube,” “Google,” “Facebook,” “sex” and “porn.”
Its not worrying at all. What a dumbass writer this guy is.

I thought the data was pretty cool.

Meh. They have to learn from somewhere.

When I was a little kid I was unaware of the internet (and became interested only a couple of years ago) so I discovered porn from cable TV.
I liked it, so I kept watching... until a couple of years later I discovered the internet and never watched that boring soft-core stuff again. LOL

It`s natural and perfectly normal. Nothing to be worried about.

Besides, porn is awesome.

I didn`t even know when you were 7 you had the proper parts to fap. Thanks, IAB! And I agree with ClownFace.

Summed it up perfectly.

So, if the under-18s are searching for porn, are they searching for under 18-porn?

Kids under 7 can use the computer now? I mean, be coherent enough to spell out websites and use search engines correctly?

I blame the Dads. They are going on their childrens account to get their dose of fapping in, all without the Mrs. looking at the history

TKD_Master, on my parent`s computer they have the homepage set to some news website. so, when i want to go to google, i just type "google" into the address bar. this automatically searches google for google, and then takes me there. i have to do this instead of just searching from the address bar, because sometimes it just takes me to some random website.

oh, except for the googling google thing. i call that messed the drat up. that is not normal.

you know whats wrong with this picture? the fact that kids are searching for google. are they googling google? or are they using a different search engine trying to get to google?? i can`t figure out why anybody would search `google` on any search engine (even though google is THE search engine.)... but really it`s just natural for kids to search such things...although, i didn`t search for nudie pics when i was 7, then again every generation changes just a bit. so i call normality.

There are these cool things called homepages that let you start at any webpage in the world you want. Like google. Isn`t that neat? You should try.

Secondly, Are you all honestly trying to say you`ve never put something into google just for the hell of it. What happens is we aren`t sure what we`re even doing so we go to google. By that time, we`ve usually managed to recompose our thoughts, and there`s google.
I do it all the time.

Porn... at age 7? Jesus. I didn`t look at porn until I was at least 12. Before I discovered that the internet was full of porn, there was always the nude scene from Titanic. Ah memories.

I`m not surprised that little kids are Googleing porn. They probably hear someone older talking about it and find it embarrassing to ask their parents what it means so they just Google it.

Its not right, but in this day its going to happen a lot.

So, I don`t think that`s a bad thing. In this day and age, thats just a form of education anymore. I did it, my older sister did it, my younger cousin does it. Parents now a days are so pooty that kids cant talk to them anymore so they revert to the internet. No harm, it`s part of human growth.

I recall a time when I was 7 years of age and very curious about this sort of thing... Or perhaps I was 8, because I remember becoming interested in the nude female form after seeing the album cover for Marilyn Manson`s "Mechanical Animals".
I remember thinking "this possibly cannot be what a naked woman looks like" (mind you, the album cover featured Manson as an androgynous alien, wearing rubber breasts, with no genitalia).
From that moment on, after searching for porn, I became addicted. Good times :)!

The number 1 word searched is "Youtube." Okay.
This article seems to be fabricated or at least twisted. Now, I`m not denying that these results have some grain of truth, I`m just saying. Well, firstly, you can look up which words are searched the most, but how do you know how old the user is typing it? Alright, secondly, how about how in all three categories, the word searched is either "sex" or "porn." It looks like they just changed the third word searched in one category to make the data look more "realistic." And finally, one last point. Darn you internet for supplying teenagers with free porn! What happened to the good old honest days when teenagers had to go down ot the corner store and shoplift their porn?!

This takes me back, to third grade, when we discovered that we could look up "sex" in the encyclopedia in our classroom. Everyone looked it up and read the entry at some point.

This is nothing new.

agreed. and consider this: porn is surched multiple times, whereas youtube is normally just surched once and then ppl fav the site or type into da browser (or mak it their homepage lawl)
