Well it shields 100% UV that hits the product... Mine don`t block what doesn`t hit the actual glass. Stupid mistake but if they had good lawyers (which they do) then it`s airtight against anyone who challenges it.
LIIIIEEEES. That`s like at MOST 40% UV protection.
I dunno opie, it looks like half the lens bit is covered by the alternating pattern. 50% UV protection maybe?

And the self-appointed grammar Nazis in this thread are wrong.
What doesn`t Disney not get about science?

Double negative, so the real question is:
What does Disney get about science?

Answer: Nothing.

No grammar problem there.

Lol, no offense, but those shades look so dorky, and I know nothing about culture >.>

Uh...? Kevin. I`m to assume you mean the description? Convert this:
"What Doesn`t Disney Not Get About Science? [Pic]. Ultra Violet Ray protected? Really Disney?"
To this:
""What Doesn`t Disney Understand About Science [pic]? Ultra-Violet Protected? Really, Disney?"

It may be a pun since they are violet colored. If not a pun that is what they`ll use in court.

I have lost all respect for this site for the title. Remove the suffix from the word "Doesn`t" immediately.

I don`t get why this is so hard to understand. The purple color on the glasses dissipates the uv rays thus protecting your eyes. lrn2science
