Sincerely sorry for being a dick, but my brain literally shut down halfway through attempting to read that. I`m not sure where exactly, but it was definitely somewhere on the corner of Basic-Language-Skills Street and If-You`re-Going-Be-A-Writer-Then-Learn-To-Write-You-Illiterate-Dick Avenue.
Long-winded, accompanied by a deep sigh. Not everyone who can write, should.
I don`t know what`s sadder and more disturbing, the article or the complete lack of empathy the first few comments show.....ok, ummm, I do not see how my comment completely lacked in empathy. I was reflecting the shadow in humanity and how sad it is that most people simply cannot be impulsed into helping anyone but themselves. I know this. You know this.
I`m pretty sheltered and after seeing the starved African child, that tore my heart out and I felt guilty while I was eating |-(I heard it was bad over there, but it really didn`t register until I saw that pic.
You think the author could`ve gone into a little less graphic detail. It wasn`t even tastefully done (and anyone who`s seen Schindler`s List knows that there is a right way of doing things). It was like a police report -- stoic and emotionless. I even felt disgusting and dirty after reading it.
Oddly, only two short years later, that one radio station killed a mother of three the same way with their "hold your wee for a wii" stunt when contestants had to drink a LOT of water and not go to the bathroom. Not a single person said maybe this isn`t a good idea, and, well, here`s a link:
Mother of three killed in radio stunt
Aw... depressing link is depressing. And not Ghost Busters. :C
