"When I die. If God asks me what id like to do for eternity. I`ll ask to be turned loose on the universe to explore it as I choose...After i`ve asked him every question i ever wanted to know the answer to."

YEah... that`d be cool...

"`I particularly liked the part at 3:35 where they showed what the Universe looks like from the outside.`"

"There is no outside."

That`s why I liked it.

"There is no outside."
There is if you`re looking from outside the universe.
The omniverse is rather large compared to the universes :B

I`m this guy standing on a planet
Really I`m just a speck
Compared with a star, the planet is just another speck
To think about all of this
To think about the vast emptiness of space
There`s billions and billions of stars
Billions and billions of specks

DHAWK, patchouly is right, you are wrong. Light travels at ~300,000,000 m/s. If it only traveled at 300,000 m/s, the delay from a geostationary satellite would be about over 4 min. instead of ~1/4 sec.

This was a pretty cool vid. I particularly liked the part at 3:35 where they showed what the Universe looks like from the outside. :-/

Wow. I agree with splurbybulbl. We have so many wars and fight over so much pointless crap. We are so tiny it doesn`t even matter.

This is all crap. Everybody knows God made the heaven and earth in 6days and rested on the seventh. All this scientific BS was invented merely to piss off Kirk Cameron...

Light travels at around 300,000 km/s. That means that, if you could bend light around the planet at the equator, it would go around and around 7 and a half times, in one second. Light, around out planet 7 and a half times, in one second!

The light coming from the farthest point that we can see is around 13.7 billion light years away. That means that if we could travel at the speed of light, it would take us 13.7 billion years, just to get to as far as we can see.

That distance is hard to even fathom. With all the galaxies, stars and planets that fill up the 13.7 billion light year, spherical area around us, it becomes obvious that there are other life forms out there. Many others.

Small and insignificant?? More like true representation instead of our over blown image of our self-importance...also more inspiring than any religion could ever be.....

I like how it had distances in light years at the bottom. Once it hit 70, I thought to myself, "Well, our generation will never reach that." Then when it got to 100,000 years, I was amazed. It`s weird how you already know these things, but you just never think about them.

Also, there`s a religious debate going on in the Youtube comments. Some of them are funny though.
