wow the_sickness, great way to prove a point.
you seem very intelligent yourself :P
If you read AC1s post, you would realize that yeah, they do take up any items considered weapons at the gate, but i guess name calling seems to be your strategy of choice...

First off TxP....you`re a dumb blonde, and second the Eagles are bunch of jokes, and finally third people in Philly are complete morons.

maddog is right, stop trying to fight it. Being those two would be awful, it was completely uncalled for. Someone could have EASILY thrown a rock, a bottle, or something

maddog, dont get me wrong, you have great opinions in many posts here, and im not saying your opinion is wrong because its obviously an opinion so that would be stupid to even say, but i feel like it is overreacting a little bit. Its good fun, quite frankly, i think it would be hilarious to be in that situation, on either side. From my experience at football games, they probably moved seats toward the end of the game and that was probably what caused it. I cant say that for sure but it seems likely. No one was hurt, and people had a laugh, but i guess it depends on the person in the situation.

ALSO!!! What the hell would be available in a football stadium to throw????? Everything that could honestly be considered a weapon is taken up at the front gate. All food and beverages from outside is taken up also. Everything served in the stadium is paper, styrofoam, and thin plastic.

How bout YOU use your damn brain and stop being so myopic.

Maddog, Goddamnit.

Under the assumption that people in Philadelphia also don`t like getting arrested and being charged with assault or some other sh*t-- nobody in that video threw anything other than a snowball.
You can see most of them exploding, and there was never any indication given by those being hit that anything that happened there caused any harm of any kind.
It`s a football game. Be realistic. They were regular people, so why the hell would you do anything to hurt them in a stadium filled with 60,000+ people, dozens of law enforcement officers, and high definition video cameras with national exposure. They were not mafia, Al-Qaida, or zombies. No reason to do anything more than pester them. Throwing sh*t in snowballs at them would be nothing less than moronic.

Stop being so damn stubborn. Maybe in your own little fantasy world, people are homocidal maniacs who kill in public places. Try to understand that in the real world, not too many people are quite that dumb.

@ daisy822

And I dont care if you dont agree. Keep being a dumbass, just dont come crying when you get assaulted by a mob who think ganging up you is "drating hilarious".

As for the "composition" of the snow? Who gives a drat. Can you say for sure that every person throwing a snowball was infact throwing a snowball? Was there anything from stopping 1 of those idiots from picking up a rock or bottle and throwing that instead? Do you know anything about crowd escalation? Are you going to claim that no one would "ever" throw something other than a snowball?

No, of course not. You have a brain..please learn to use it and think before you dismiss someone elses opinion!

maddogg, for one, nobody cares if its "unjust" or "unfair" in your opinion, its drating hilarious. second, it was a powdery snow, so there was no ice in it or anything that can seriously hurt them.

third, its drating philadelphia. we take sports quite seriously here.

1. It was just snow. Grow up and get off your high horses
2. Philly threw snowballs at Santa in the 1960s... well before most of you were born

--------------------------------------------------

It`s "just" snow? Are you a moron? Can you prove every single thing thrown in that video was "just" snow? No, you cant! Would you like to be the person being pelted by a stadium full of idiots? How about your mother or your sister? Is it still ok?
1) There is allways some fool who has to push it further. Do you know anything about crowds?
2) You try being on the reciving end of a mob. You might percive it as "lighthearted" but I doubt those 2 in the video thought it was fun.

It`s not ok so dont try to justify it! Only a complete halfwit would think this behaviour is acceptable!

3. The "municipal prison" was a courthouse and it was in Veterans stadium and it was only during the last couple years of its existence.

Idiots.
It had nothing to do with "dumb sports fans" being dumb. They did it because 1) they`re from Philly and 2) it`s f*cking hilarious.

Yeah...I hope your on the reciving end of that one day!

And this is why I have always hated sports. Whenever I showed interest in a talented team, I got ridiculed. So I started a band.

That`s stupid. Those men paid for their tickets the same as anyone else (and by how good their seats were, that was quite a bit of money and more than those in the seats above them) and deserved to see the game without some idiots with too much beer in them pelting them with snowballs!

ok cman, what`s worse: never having any hopes at all for the superbowl year after year, or having your team get your hopes up and always coming so close and when you finally think this is gonna be the year your team rips it out from under you and everything comes crashing down. COnsistently the Eagles make the playoffs and always find a way to lose in the Conference Championship game or the Super Bowl.

dave-followed-by-numbers...toughest in the country? no. LIONS fans are tough fans. browns fans are tough fans. teams that havent seen a playoff game in years, those are tough fans. raiders fans. vikings fans. the ones who don`t know what a superbowl looks like with their team in it. philly fans are punks.

Uhm, I do believe those two fans have every right to demand their ticket money back. Money they paid that goes to SUPPORT THE PHILLY TEAM!

Any sports fan that behaves as that crowd did has no right to sit in the stands.

Cool security guy to shield them like that so they could get out of there.
Snowballs are innocent, but you never know... people could have quickly gotten the idea to put something sharp or solid in the center of them.

Poffelupagus, in case you missed it, you made a run at MY continent in a hateful way. Uppity Europeans indeed!

Would you like your entire culture and country judged because of one comment from one person who shares the same continent?

See what I did there?

Anyway...take a deep breath and calm the hell down. This is the interwebs. People make silly comments and as the above illustrates, your no saint either! Just move on and dont take it so personally!

Murray, in case you missed it, she made a run at MY country in a hateful way. And BTW I`ve seen firsthand some of the crap that happens at your games...urine bombs for one. Would you like your entire culture judged because of one video? Or one experience? Thought not.

and also, way to lay into someone, there must be summin seriously wrong for you to blow off like that, so please dont do it here

Hey Sherrychick, I guess you`ve never been to one of those "respectful" soccer games. You uppity europeans never cease to amaze me with your narrow minded superiority complex. And before the war starts, I don`t lump all of my friends across the pond into that heap, just the ones that act like that.

Nah, I agree Oystah.

Thats just plain wrong! I can imagine it was quite scary for them because they had no idea if it would escalate or not.
What makes it worse is that they have paid for their tickets just like everyone else, yet they are forced to leave just because they support the wrong team!

Yeah..very "awesome" tinsolitus (as you said). I bet it wouldnt be so awesome if you where the one one on the reciving end!
