First, Bond kicks ass. Both the movies and the actual Canadian spy he was based on. Second, what the hell is with those instruments? I read that they need a Mac to operate and cost in excess of $6K! Why would someone just not use the computer and do it on that?

    @ Beaverfever

WTF are you talking about "canadian spy he was based on"? Canadian spy???? Is that some sort of humour?

Your right about the Eigenharp though. They cost a small fortune...but only those who are serious about their music would buy one anyway. For them it`s an investment!

    @ Maddog

No that was no attempt at humour. The character was based on a man by the name of William Stephenson, codenamed Intrepid. There are people that believe that Fleming based the character on other agents such as Sidney Reilly or Dusan Popov, but Fleming stated the "father" of the character was Scottish. Hence it is believed that he was based on the Canadian.

    @ Beaverfever.

Flemming denied it! I just twigged what you ment. Sundays....ack If you`d said Sidney Reilly or William Stephenson then you`d have this reply.

Yeah...quite right. The "rumour" is Bond was based on the above named spys (Stephenson being the canadian working for British intelligence) but Flemming denied it to his death so we dont know. Most researchers would acctually claim Bond is Flemming anyway...or at least a romanticised, jet-setting womaniser version of himself.

It;s all down to opinion..and (no offence) I think Bond is what Flemming wished he himself was!

But since there is no rock solid proof to support who Bond really is / who he was based on (as I said earlier) it`s all opinion and your belief is no less valid than mine!

oh hey looks like somebody else submitted this one too...xD

Also, for those who are saying "WTF how does it do that?":

It`s an instrument with several different "inputs" on the actual instrument, such as keys, positions on the keys, pressure on the keys, a mouthpiece(records how fast you blow through it I`d imagine). There`s also a couple of sliders on the side of it, sort of like a fretless guitar but without the strings. All the variables from these different physical "inputs" are then transmitted to the computer where they can be linked to different parameters of a synthesizer(velocity, cutoff, resonance, pitch, etc). Also on the one version of the eigenharp, the keys can be used to program a sequencer, and it uses the keys for a display.
