lol plastic surgery doesn`t automatically mean it was done so he could look better. He didn`t have EYELIDS for gosh sakes.

and then he stared in the hit "The phantom of the Opera."

Before, though, he didn`t have eylids. And that probably sucked.

@ deathxtra-logic is hard to come by wen u were as drated as i was...just thought its funny that he was noted as being the father of plastic surgery even tho he sucked at it. sometimes the originator doesnt deserve credit imo

Honestly, until they said he was missing his top and bottom eyelids, I didn`t see much wrong with him prior to the surgery.
It looks like he`s got a sleeping mask on... made of skin.

Oh i have seen that picture before because my dad works in one of the hospitals that first started off cosmetic surgery. Its really facinatig seeing that they didn`t actually have a clue what they were doing back then. the surgery often went wrong or the paitent died of infection within weeks. Its amazing how much more advanced cosmetic surgery has come in the last few years alone

i don`t get why you people are bagging on this. it was the first time in history ever to preform plastic surgury. and everyone says
"i think the before pic was better"
um if you couldn`t blink because you were missing eyelids I`m sure you wouldn`t be so fond of the before pic. I`m sure he felt very blessed to have this technology available to him. so stop being non-nice individuals people.

Praise the Lord for loving our souls, because once your face is gone, he`s the only one who will love you besides your mother.

I, too, think he looked better before, but the article did state he had no use of his eyelids. I am assuming the surgery gave him use of his eyelids again; which I feel would be better than being easier to look at.
