How is torturing anything funny???
Poor fishy. This just makes me really sad. :(
You`re exactly right. Everything IS subjective. I never said that I was perfect, or that everyone ought to be perfect and consistently consider everyone and everything before making any opinions. I said try, and that`s all humanity truly can do. No man or woman can be perfect in their considerations, but they can definitely try before shouting obscenities about another culture or people.
It wasn`t an accident. There have been videos and competitions about keeping fish twitching and (argu
Every culture has their ethical boundaries and taboos that you don`t cross. Maybe wherever this is, you can eat fish live, but you can`t ever speak casually to an elder.
In contrast, people would get protested upon for serving live fish, but if we speak to an old man with disrespectful tones, you`d get a slap on the wrist, if that.
Before you go judging the integrity of another culture, please try to think of our world holistically. It`s hard, but for a truly valid opinion, it`s necessary.
This is seriously, seriously gross. It`s just gross. Aside from being inhumane or whatever, it`s drating nasty. I mean, why would you even WANT to do that? Ew.I`m sorry, but I would really rather not have something stare at my while I om nom nom on it`s innards. drating gross.
And fish tastes nasty anyway. Even when it it`s, you know, dead.
Things get eaten alive in nature all of the time! What? You think a Lion is going to completely kill an Gazelle before it starts taking chucks out of it? Psh! But fish or not though, there`s no excuse for a human to do this to anything :P
First sentence. This isn`t sushi.
Come on people, it`s a fish, get over it...
2nd @ valamir,no, my friend...the rice is called gohan (when its cooked and ready to eat), sushi is the dish made with rice and fish and whatever....sashimi is just the raw fish and nothing more...i dont know if this is considered sashimi
3rd... looks tasty =)
And no, I`m not a vegetarian, I have no qualms about eating any animal, as long as it has not been tortured beforehand.
but seriously its just f u ct up to eat something still alive if you have the means to end its suffering.
Mainly because we are able to end an animal`s pain instantaneously, and it is seen as merciful to do so before eating one.
People that get a turd in their pants about it are most likely afraid of becoming a selfish or feelingless monster that doesn`t care about the pain or suffering of others, and then it normally overflows onto other people that don`t share their own view.
However different societies see things differently, that`s why in one part of the world, women are covered from head to foot in clothing at all times, where in another, they can go around one step away from nude and not bat an eyelash.
It`s common sense to not eat animals alive.
Human cruelty? Pfft. We need to bloody eat. I`d have no problem ripping a chickens head off if I had to eat. I`m sure a bear would have no problem mauling me if it had to eat, or just in general. I imagine someone trying to argue against that would bring up intelligence, but it has nothing to do with it.
So yeah, I don`t really care about animals anymore.
This isn`t nature, this is just human cruelty. The fish seen in the video is in extreme pain and suffering while the others are laughing and eating it. So the repulsive thing isn`t the served moving fish, it`s how cruel humans can be.
I somehow can`t picture a bear patiently waiting for the fish to die before it bites into it.
I`m so happy the poor fish is dead. That`s just wrong.
Normally I`m not against fishing and stuff, but...that`s just mean. :(
NOT TORTURE THE POOR THING.
I actually have a heart.
Sure it looks cruel, but I think people are getting a little soft about where their food comes from. Too many people see food as something cling film / saran wrapped on a supermarket shelf and not from it`s original state....
at least kill it first, please
its a simmilar concept, they cut up a live fish and turn it into a sushi dish (a type of sashimi called Ikizukuri is allso served alive, just raw)
This is awful!
I`m no animal rights activist--I worked for a fur company, I work in a lab that uses animal subjects--but this is sad and it makes me a little sick, to be honest.
seriously though, that`s just wrong.
