Submitted by: fancylad 7 years ago in Science

This photo of the sun was taken with a camera with an H-alpha filter attached. The airplane was lucky timing...

This reminds me of a "brilliant" idea one of my stoner friends got when I was in high school.

Says He: Dude, I`m totally gonna design a ship to go to the sun.

Me: You`re going to die in the process. It`s too hot.

Says He: Nah, man, I`m going at night.

That`s because there`s a really bright object behind it. It sorta messes up the look of the outline.

It was about the point when Captain Goodnight slowly woke, rubbed his eyes with his knuckles and blurry-eyed looked out the window; first confused at not seeing Florida but slowly realizing the auto-pilot had been on another pre-teen fondling, Mojito guzzling bender. He shook his head, comprehending fully his mistake by jokingly ordering, "Time for some fun in the Sun..." before dozing off.

I have never seen the sun like that before; the specks and swirls make me feel uncomfortable.

if you where paying attention to a previous post a few weeks ago they aren`t the same size, they are radically bigger.
