I`ve sneezed with my eyes open before. It`s only happened once, but it`s possible. However, I agree that it is probably a tic. If there is no physiological reason for it, then it has to be psychological.

The solution lies within Chinese medicine.

it is definitely a psychological thing... it could be an attention-getting ploy.

I call B.S. on the "machine-gun sneezing" Diagnosis.. that doctor pulled that out of his ass just to get on TV.

I think it must be all the girls head... she has her eyes open and it doesn`t happen when she sleeps. Seeing a shrink sounds like the best solution.

I`m with you guys. It`s a tic. She `sneezed` with her eyes open. You don`t do that, regardless

wow... huge problem there.. can`t they like give her some novacaine or something to make her numb if her nose is tickled or if her diaphragm is spazing then like a muscle relaxer or something?

That doesn`t look like a sneeze. Is there even anything coming out of her nose because it looks more like she is doing it from her mouth mainly and you are right she is barely closing her eyes at all. This has to be some problem in theb rain. Have they done MRI`s or any kind of CT scans?

if you dont close you eyes when you sneeze, the pressure makes them pop out.

That`s not a sneeze. That`s a tic. Are these people morons? It doesn`t matter how many physicians they go to. The problem is in the old noggin there.

She doesn`t close her eyes as she has a tic. OCD or tourettes, I think.

"machine gun sneezing"... (-_-) they totally made that up on the spot.

I would say it is more psychological than anything else. It seems to me that it is a "tic". Something that you would see in OCD... But I am no doctor or psychiatrist.

I`ve been burping for like...a month and a half almost nonstop. That`s pretty terrible too....but I don`t get any news coverage for that ): I think it`s GERD but my mother thinks it is "psychological." The vomit I taste in the back of my throat states otherwise...ick.

"Call Dr House"

That was my first though too...
I even imagined House watching TV in the nurses` break room and showing interest in the case. Turns out it`s Lupus and the they need to do a liver biopsy.

Why in the world would she fake it...I cant imagine anyone wanting to fake that shet. That looks horrid. Reminds me of that girl who was hiccuping for like 3 weeks straight. Even though hiccuping or sneezing are like small whatever things, i would absolutely /hate/ doing that like 16 times a minute :/

You can`t fake a sneezing like that. 16 times a minute...

I think after a few days, she would get tired of doing that in the morning and through out her day... So she isn`t faking.

"sneezing is not involentary. you can stop a sneeze"
it is not involuntary, u can try and stop it but eventually its gonna come out, its kinda like taking a dump, u can try and hold it in and succed for a hort while, but when it does eventually come out u`ll regret it

Not involuntary? Every time I try to hold a sneeze back, the "tickle" that makes it start gets stronger and stronger until I just sneeze worse than I would have if I had just done it in the first place. My wife says the same thing. Maybe you`re special? In that case, maybe you should report to these people and see if you`re the cure :P
