This just shows how great of a mother she will be.
I`m still hoping that was a bad translation.
It`s not just you - I think it`s too young by years, as do many people.
I know that parenthood at a very young age can work out fine if there is an extended family, e.g. the grandparents actually raise the child, but it seems very wrong to me.
The older I get, the older the ages I feel are appropriate for age of consent and for parenthood. I`m up to about 20 and 30 respectively now. Although I`m not sure than anyone is really ready for parenthood, ever.
Which, of course, is why it`s normal to regard anyone under 18 as a young child, or even an infant, and to explicitly say so, with no distinction being made between a baby and an adolescent.
I didn`t mention the USA at all, so that part of your post is just made up.
Puberty or not...obviously there was a lack of parenting.
I agree. 14 is much more appropriate.
puberty in America begins around the age of 10, when it was 12.5 only 8-10 years ago. Puberty is beginning earlier and earlier, due partially to better nutrition and health care in this country.
the problem with it is that 10-year-old girls do not at all know how to handle themselves around boys, or judge the future consequences of their actions--their brains are just not developed enough (and I`m right about this, so do your research before you come back at me).
I don`t know about other people, but I certainly don`t like seeing little 11-year-old girls running around in belly shirts, booty shorts, and a pound of makeup, looking like 18-year-old hookers--that`s just inviting the attention of pedophiles.
We don`t deny the existence of puberty at all.
She`s not entirely wrong.
Strictly speaking, it isn`t paedophilia. Strictly speaking, a child is a person who has not yet started puberty. So she can`t be a child, so this can`t be paedophilia.
Illegal (in most places), morally wrong (in my opinion), etc, but not, strictly speaking, paedophilia.
Keeping people ignorant for as long as possible doesn`t really help regarding exposure to the corruptions of society.
But that`s not what I was talking about. I was talking about ignoring aging, including the complete denial of the existence of adolescence, that`s normal in the west and apparently becoming more extreme. The complexity of reality reduced to a silly fantasy of only two states of existence (infant and adult) and a magic age at which everyone suddenly flips from one to the other. I`ve even seen it taken as far as people regarding adults, people with voting rights and suchlike, as children.
Reality is far less rigid than that and contains far more than two groups. There`s far too much of an obsession with dividing humanity into only two groups.
Is it worse in the USA? Or is there some meaning in that sentence that`s gone over my head?
I`m sure it isn`t fun for you to try to defend all the many flaws in your arguments. That won`t stop me pointing them out, of course.
in OUR SOCIETY, this would definitely be considered pedophilia and rape (either forced or statutory, whichever the case may be).
however, in OTHER SOCIETIES, this may be perfectly acceptable. He may not be a pedophile in their country.
Her comments just bold how much of a baby she still is herself... messed up. :S
i really don`t think you`re worth my time or energy, because frankly breaking a toe would be more fun than talking to you. so, this is the last i`ll say about the issue.
Why don`t you have a seat over here...
Not at all - it`s well within the norm for menarche. Towards the end of the normal range, actually. 8-12 is the norm nowadays, although it isn`t necessarily bad to be outside that range.
....please someone take the child away.
I don`t understand this modern western obsession with infantilising people for as long as possible, usually along with an alleged instantaneous transformation from infant to adult at an arbritrarily chosen age. Maybe it`s to dumb things down to the simple "there are only two groups" model that`s so popular. It`s not reality.
Angil, in terms of mental/emotional maturity, 11-year-olds are pretty damn close to little kids.
According to Darik radio - the mother of the 11-year old Korteza has attended her daughter`s wedding, but lied to the social services, police, and the media, claiming that she was in Spain during that time. That`s the same information that was given to the agency for child protection. The chief of the agency Snejana Krusteva said in front of Darik radio that the prosecutor`s office will be additionaly referred about the case of the cohabiation and sexual intercourse between the underage Korteza and the 19 year old Jelyazko for which Korteza`s mother Raina and her father Mihail not only knew, but also gave approval.
Also, is it just me or is 11 kind of young to start menstruating?
Seriously. Who deemed this person mature enough to have a child? I`m not even worried about the age, or the fact that she`s getting married. That`s normal to people of those countries. But does anyone here really believe that she is mature enough to have a child?
She so obviously is not a baby.
I`d bet good money that the baby will be raised by the grandparents.
The baby is here, nothing can be done about that. I think it`s probable that they`d be better off raised by their grandparents than by the state. The state doesn`t make good parents, especially when it`s a very poor state.
14 is a fairly common age of consent, so it isn`t `wtf` in global terms. We all look at things from our own cultural perspective.
That part of this sorry story might be understandable - what is the status in that country of an unmarried parent and the child of unmarried parents?
good luck with that, unless you have your parts removed you`ll either be on birth control for 35 years or celibate, and seeing as you were knocked up in under a week of knowing a guy...
I expected more uproar about the dad being a 19 year old.
can CPS please get on her ass and get this baby away from such an immature, uneducated child?? she`s a baby raising a baby!
