Prediction

Now, let"s see how many IABers beat him. And by "beat", we mean, "tragically incapable of following basic instructions".

This works as long as you count correctly. No matter where you move each time.

I don`t understand why some people here are all proud of themselves that they beat his "prediction" ... All that is saying is that you don`t know how to count. XP

"duh. i figured it out before he started the second count. each amount of numbers decided that (at least) one square was impossible to land on if you followed the rules."

I figured it out when he got to #3 on the first count.

No, no you weren`t. Not if you are capable of following basic intructions. Please, for the love of god, don`t enter the miltary. Or any job, for that matter. In fact, go climb into a hole and stay there, before you hurt yourself.
FAIL i was on the Q
Nope, you failed. Soz mate. It`s mathematically impossible to win if you followed his instructions correctly. It`s not rocket science, it`s very very VERY simple math.
it didnt work for me, i ended on the Q... to the ones who didnt listen(or those who r deaf) he clearly says that you may move my finger up, down, left, right and it was ok to move back to the previous square...and that was how i beat the system
I`m not deaf, i can hear perfectly well. And as Baal pointed out, although there are loopholes the intention is quite clear... only a lawyer on an assh*ole would try to exploit that. To do otherwise is to play the party magician at his own game when he says "as I look away, put the card back in the deck", and you stick it in your pocket. It`s not being clever, it`s being a dick.

kribbe, you just fulfilled my loaded decription of "Now, let`s see how many IABers beat him. And by `beat`, we mean, `tragically incapable of following basic instructions`." was predictively aimed at people like you (an others on this thread).

i moved back to the previous square each time. i thought i beat the system. i didn`t.

DAMN YOU PREDICTIVE STATISTICS!!!!! DAMN YOU TO HELLLLLLL

In other words:

Does he say a move is only one square? No, but he expects you to assume so.

You can interpret the rules differently to how he expects you to though.

As long as you don`t move diagonally, you are allowed to jump squares, provided you have visited them previously.

This however is clearly not what he intended. So it is not possible to beat the system as intended.

I stopped the vid right on 1:07 and the subliminal message shows the pic you will end up on!

Anyone saying they beat him: you did it wrong.

This is maths. With a given starting square and those rules, you can only be on certain squares every time he says stop, so he can happily peel away ones it`s impossible for you to be on, and limit your possible moves. You can`t beat it if you follow the rules properly.

this is retarded. on every even or odd number you can only be on certain squares. he just progressively eliminates squares you can`t be on based on that fact.

It`s extremely simple. Just think of it like a chess board. If you move an even number of times then you end up on a square that has the same color as the one you started on. If you move an odd number of times you end up on the opposite color.

Basically you can`t end up on the card he takes away each time with the number of moves he gives you, still pretty funky

there`s a brief subliminal image in the middle of the video, i`ll have to find the time exactly, but it shows the card that it`ll end up with. if you pay attention you can see it cut briefly and if you pause it at the right time you`ll see that card.

That`s actually pretty cool. I`m sure there`s some complex mathematical reason behind it, but still cool.

this is just Set Theory.

if you`re going to try to impress people with math, at least use a little more imagination.

If you don`t know the reasoning behind it, then you end up learning it. If you do know the reasoning, then you already know it.

These things therefore make the world a better place :D

I hate these "phychic" or "magic" predictions that are just math equations. Sure, I don`t know what that equation is, but I know the method, so, blah.

its just mathematics, you only have a certain number of moves and you can logicaly assume said amounts of moves in not enough to reach certain cards.

Add an even number to an odd one. I predict your number is odd. Amazing? Only slightly less so than this video - anyone with a brain even slightly mathematical can see through this easily.

Pretty obvious that there`s some mathematical thing where after a certain amount of moves you cant be on a certain square.

I`ve seen this before. Not in IAB, but elsewhere. Its very easy to do, even with a massive array of possibilities. I am not impressed.

In before the complaints, yes it`s a repost from 2 years ago. Many new users won`t have seen it, and it`s worth the head-melt, soz to those who have seen it before.

More importantly, I foresee comedic comments on the horizon.
