Considering that 70 percent of those found guilty in child molestation cases do not serve jail time most people I know would take whatever they could get.

Yes, any justice system based on "innocent until proven guilty" is inherently flawed, and will let guilty people off on occasion. But its a whole lot better than a "guilty until proved innocent" system sending innocent people to jail, or a vigilante system where prejudice and mob-mentality determines guilt.
