The argument stems from the assumption that their religion is right and of immense importance. That is why they`re saying that people who don`t follow their religion feel the gaping void of the lack of it. If it wasn`t true and/or wasn`t important, the lack of it wouldn`t leave a gaping void.
So the fact that there are many people who don`t follow their religion and don`t feel this gaping void proves (*according to their own argument*) that their religion is false, unimportant or both.
They should have been using that money that was used to air that show to research things like Perpetual Motion Machines and Tesla Technology.
i think everyone wants to live in a stable and successful country, but i dont think religion has to do anything with that.
if anything i think it should be the population looking past things like religion to help each other, thereby helping with the whole eternal unity thing? Dont all religions mostly revolve around that ideal? Looking past how one sees or treats you and accepting and giving love? I feel the issue of religion has only become a warped version of what its supposed to be.
idk, just thought i`d throw my thoughts out there.
I`ll give you points.
USA has had more resources going in than out for over 200 years, just like Imperial Britain.
USA has gone to war with almost all socialist countries, emphasizing on that "the commies" were the cause of the atrocities that occured, not the already present chaos in the region. They did not go to war against them to bring "democracy and freedom" to the region, if they had at all been worried about that, they would not have supported the hundreds of tyrants, that even though were brutal and unjust dictators, were friendly towards the United States. They went to war because socialism put a country out of the axis of unjust trade. It made a country not send all their resources to the western world. It was like a slave rebellion that had to be put down.
And also, exactly what I was thinking Souladdict22. At least in some countries their "God" may be their leader, who at least exists...
This guys is a complete whack job, all he does is find any excuse he can to take pot shots at Obama for being the first African American president, its not Obama`s fault he has to clean up Bush`s humongous mess he left the country with and come on Fox News...biggest bunch of right wing whack jobs if there isnt a bigger one. could just be me but im feeling some strong racist vibes from Glen Beck and his Ilk.
The first article states that Christians don`t have to obey any of the OT rules. It references your own holy book. It is, therefore, theological evidence AGAINST the position you`re claiming it supports.
The second article is some statements in which the Catholic church decrees that whetever they approve of is natural moral law, blah blah. It`s just typical circular reasoning - it`s natural law because we say so, we say so because it`s natural law.
It also states that the "old law" (i.e. OT rules) is replaced by the "new law" (i.e. NT rules).
So the second link completely fails to provide any theological evidence for your claim and at least partially undermines it.
The "ritual" and "moral" distinction is made up to create a fake support for pick `n` mix obedience of OT rules.
... by that logic, lynchings are ok. i mean it`s ok they`re called minorities for a reason right? there is less of them. so let`s make there life hell.
P.S. and fox news can suck my balls
What`s with America`s obsession with scapegoats lately? There is not always ONE CAUSE to every problem FFS people!
It`s not because of God--it`s because of the ability to rationalize it. Something is irrational as that, can be used to rationalize a lot of things that are inhumane or psychotic.
It`s not religion that is the problem. It has never really been the problem in the first place. Religion never struck someone down. The people behind it always have been the perpetrators.
I find it pointless to blame religion. The people should be held responsible--not their beliefs. But sometimes I wonder if some beliefs are too dangerous to hold, or too irrational or crazy to exist in this world that we all share. You have to remember that. We are all sharing this planet together. This isn`t just my life. It`s all of ours.
Yeah Right. I can see that happening!!!
Yup. Once an idiot--always an idiot. It`s those kinds of people who never FIND a reason to lose their faith that scare me the most.
I mean, I know why I don`t believe in God. It`s just not a productive use of my increasingly short time on this planet. I`d rather spend it with friends, and loved ones, and good times than in under a steeple. That`s just how I view it.
I know deep down that God is a fairytale, and that most people will not accept it, and it doesn`t bother me. I just don`t want to be subjected to it, and I want my country to live up to its own ideals. I want separation of church and state--we shouldn`t be favoring one belief, or one lack of belief. We are a united country. Atheists, gays, blacks, whatever. We are one country.
What do I fill the "void" with as an atheist? Myself, my family, my neighbors, my fellow man. Don`t look to your imaginary friend to fix the problems. We have a responsibility to ourselves, our fellow man, to inspire hope and goodness within each other.
I don`t do good things in hopes that I get into God`s little after party. I do good things for the sake of making life a little better for myself and those around me.
That is what Fox news does most of the time. Most forms of press, at least here in the states, shows what they want to portray the "news" in a way that shows you the view they wish you to see. The abundance of modern media outlets led the FCC to rescind the Fairness Doctrine. While some news is unbiased it has become a rarity.
You`re right Crazy Fox Man, that`s what priests do - fill your gaping hole.
Now, as for atheists being whats wrong with the country, well that`s a common belief among christians. In many church settings they pass out their propaganda portraying atheists as dark and sinister types who will stop at nothing to turn your children away from god. Abrahamic religions (e.g., Christianity, Judaism and Islam) are the most intolerant religious practices when it comes to others beliefs or lack thereof
I pout in your general direction, sir, as I am a productive worker, but I laugh at the concept of a grumpy smoker and a religious zealot working in the same establishment. Oh, the shenanigans that would ensue... or someone would get hurt. Hopefully the former.
You jumped to a conclusion, but nope, you`re wrong. He was an alcoholic, and broke up with his first wife, and essentially lost his faith. He pulled his life back together, and became religious again.
people take religion so seriously, it`s funny to watch... until you remember some of them are willing to harm, discriminate, or kill people that don`t fall in line or agree with their silly beliefs.
*noms his popcorn*
i don`t think every christian is as close minded as some may believe you to think. unfortunately it seems like the most outspoken and bravest christians are also the most mis-informed and sadly they give the rest a bad rap.
Hypothesis: Atheists are to blame for all of America`s problems.
Falsification method: Identifying one of America`s problems that wasn`t caused by atheists will disprove this hypothesis.
Statement: The terrorist attacks of 9/11 was and is a problem for America.
Statement: The terrorists involved in 9/11 were self-identified radical Muslims.
Conclusion: 9/11 is a problem for America that was not caused by atheists. Therefore, not all of America`s problems are caused by atheists.
Jackal...I think it`s great you`re trying to be sociallly accepting, but try to get could and couldn`t care less right...
Don`t forget that there are enlightened people all over the world who are balanced in rational thought, take careful steps in approaching and discussing a topic, and are also open minded to the opinions of others.
Also note that none of these people ever get any air time because the loud, obnoxious, and rude ones tend to get all the attention.
I guarantee that she wouldn`t have gotten in trouble for telling a Christian to stop praying; I bet she would`ve been rewarded for that. This is why I can`t stand you "tolerant" liberals who hate Christians."~wrexsoul
Don`t just assume that everyone in here who is "liberal" hates christians. I don`t hate anyone, because personally, I think it is a waste of time. I might go to a lot of concerts you would probably find taboo, but I don`t hate any one group of people. Now that`s out of the way. I do
Keep it clean or else guys. (o_O)>=====[Ban]
that was BOTH shameless self promoting AND a way to ease the (barely) tense situation
lost productive time per month = 20.8%Smokers spend 8% of their work day in smoking activitiesThe average smoker takes 40 minutes per day for smoking breakscan account for one lost day per weektotal of 30 minutes is lost to the smoking ritual each day
...but its fairly certain smokers are lousy employees AND take more sick days than non-smokers. Being a pack-a-day smoker AND a businessman, I`d hire a religious zealot over a smoker any day.
Weighing in on this (why the He...ck not), the Bible is fairly specific that its a bad sin, but yeah, where does this "only" or "worst" attitude come from? The Core Ruleset, as it were, is The Ten Commandments, and its not mentioned there. If any are to be considered the "worst" it has to be those 10, by definition, because they were the first handed directly to Man by God (apart from the prohibition of eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil), the first written down, and the basis of all future law.
I was going to say about Pascal`s wager, that it gives you an idea of what theists think of religion and what atheists were brought up thinking.
If religion is taking over your entire life, and you`re not a priest, you`re doing something wrong.
I think it was Madest saying he wouldn`t hire someone who needed to pray 5 times a day. (OMG, 5 times!)
All 5 prayers, in total, take up ~17 minutes. Only 2 of those prayers are during working hours.
The average American spends 4 times this long watching commercials. It also means they`re getting up at 6am to do them, which means they probably have an ordered schedule they work by.
It also means no hangover sick days, and no groggy pre-coffee hours of the day.
But I`m sure your hiring policies are all revolving around your missed 7-9 minutes, and nothing to do with prejudices.
"My question is, why can Christians spout their nonsense and try to convert someone but if I, as an atheist, does it. I`m a bad person. Hypocrites!"
Because no-one ever complains about people preaching. It`s all OK. Nobody makes fun of the JWs. Also, atheists never preach and get a lot of crap from it, especially on sites like this.
Adding on to my point earlier. The behaviour you dislike from religious folk, does not change when they leave religion. The preachyness, the holier than thou attitude, the "if only my beliefs were the only belief" mentality.
It doesn`t go away. It`s just more evidence that much of the doucheness that you associate with religion, is associated with being a human being.
85% of which happen to be religious.
The Bible mentions homosexuality about as often as it mentions eating shellfish. Yet people such as Westboro interpret it as being the only unforgivable sin.
What you are saying here, is that even though it is not direct interpretation. Even though these people have chopped and changed their beliefs, even though they REQUIRE aberrant readings and forced interpretations of several verses to justify that position, it is the fault of the original text.
In Islam, the stoning of homosexuals is the ONLY case where Hadith is used to overrule Quran. It`s the only case because it is expressly forbidden to do that. Yet they do. They go directly against their religion in order to enforce this, and you think if they didn`t have religion it wouldn`t be enforced?
A loophole does not create the abuse, it allows it. The idea that abuse would end if the law was thrown out completely is not wise.
That leaves Fancy and the fish... and I`m pretty sure the fish think Fancy`s their Lord.
I don`t want to argue the existence or nonexistence of God, but what I will say is this: As a Christian my quality of life has NOT declined since `conversion`... or whatever you want to call it. I don`t `get` to sleep around, but I`m really happy with my girlfriend. In my case, I feel like my faith has demanded a higher work ethic out of me, which has had a positive impact on my career. Getting drunk is costly. I have a lot of great friends in my church who would take a bullet for me. A little less fun? Probably. A waste of my precious time on earth? Not the tiniest bit.
I guarantee that she wouldn`t have gotten in trouble for telling a Christian to stop praying; I bet she would`ve been rewarded for that. This is why I can`t stand you "tolerant" liberals who hate Christians.
Look who`s talking. I hope your grammar and spelling is not a reflection of your intelligence level.
You are telling me that I am wrong, but you have no proof. Show me proof as to why there is no God. I thought you science lovers thrived on proving your hypotheses with evidence. Well then, chop chop, present your evidence.
What I am saying is that I believe that there is a God. You are saying that I am wrong, but you present no evidence. It is impossible to prove it one way or another with physical evidence, so why is it such a crime for me to hold my beliefs? Are my beliefs directly harming you? No, they aren`t, so why do you care?
In my libs class we`re reading Genesis.
...It`s f*cked up, needless to say. Quite an interesting read, but reading the bible makes me less religious.
"Correlation and causation are not the same thing."
I have an idea, if I`m right then you`ve wasted much of your precious time on earth with your one and only life span that`s incredibly short, if you`re right then i go to hell. I somehow still think that me being right is worse for you, cause then you`ve wasted the greatest gift ever.
Top link is a cliff notes version of mosaic law, second link is the cathecism of the Catholic church and their view on moral law...fun reading
Man, why do you atheists have to be so outspoken. I mean, you are only 15% of the population (of America), so it would make more sense if everyone was bashing you and your beliefs.
Is there a specific algorithm you want...."
I did not ask you to define "moral" and "ritual".
I did ask you to provide any evidence *from your own religious book* to support the distinction between moral rules and ritual rules *within that religion* and the claim that the former must be obeyed and the latter ignored.
You can use any "algorithm" you like to present evidence that the distinction has a theological basis and is not simply made up to justify whatever pick `n` mix of rules you want to make. If you have any evidence to present.
I know hardly anyone, atheist or otherwise, with much faith in their government.
In practice, rights are given by the government. Even in a theocracy, rights are still given by the government and not by whatever god or gods they claim to have the authority of.
FOR GOD SAKES!!! What happened to the old saying "Let`s just agree to disagree!" ?
Yes, they did. But that also means I have the freedom to have no religion. :)
Oh, wrexsoull. Would I replace God with porn? Any day. Is porn sick? Well, it is if you`re a fundamentalist pr*ck like you.
"I say, anybody who hates religious people should get the heck out of America because that was the original purpose of America. People fled to America from Europe to obtain freedom of religion. If you hate that, then go back to Europe."
*facepalm*wrexsoull, the people who fled from Europe for religious freedom were different from those who founded the United States. They also differ by many years. How stupid are you? Did you not pay any kind of attention in history class? My guess is no.
Correlation and causation are not the same thing.
~John (an atheist).
I`m probably not helping out any more being an anarchist
The downfall of America is on pace with the religious cleansing of America.
He is correct. The one thing that is coinciding with the fact that this country is going down the toilet, is that fact that more and more people are turning away from faith, and toward our government for help.
In the immortal words of Nute Gunray, "We will not survive this."
But Glenn Beck sounds like an idiot when he says that without God you are left with some "hole." Yeah Glenn, we are left with a hole. It was previously filled with bullsh*t, and now we`re going to fill it with friends, family, and the reality of this universe.
End of story.
Seeing stuff like this makes me feel I should be living a horrible life in a mud hut, then being stoned to death and burning in hell. Yet I have quite a good life, I make enouth money to get by all cozy and nobody has forced anything on me and made me feel like a traitor. Hell remains to be seen, but so far nothing he said is happening to me here.
Summary: He crazy!
Both sides have it, however, Conservatives listen to this loon on tv and believe everything that comes out.
My question is, why can Christians spout their nonsense and try to convert someone but if I, as an atheist, does it. I`m a bad person. Hypocrites!
I don`t exactly get what your asking for. Ritual would involve customs and tradition, while moral deals with ethics.
Is there a specific algorithm you want....
I have noticed that you have completely failed to provide any evidence to support the distinction that you`ve made. Again.
Other people will have noticed too.
A dictionary is not the old testament of the Christian bible. People are aware of that fact.
Go easy on him. He`s Special.
Well theres obviously a different between ritual and moral. There is a dictionary that could help you know the difference.
"Religion. Sh*t it."
And yea, he does remind me of the guy from V for Vendetta.
That`s a convenient distinction. Too convenient in my opinion. Just label rules you agree with and "moral laws" and rules you don`t agree with as "ritual laws".
Unless, of course, you can point to where the OT of the Christian bible labels all the rules as either moral or ritual. I`m pretty sure no such thing exists.
Funky thing is, how would Hitler have known who the `enemy` was, the apostaisers, the dirty stinking jews who needed to be gassed and obliterated and murdered to the tune of 6 million people, if he didn`t have a label like "Jew" to put upon them?
Which, of course, obviously proves that atheists are evil and powerful.
It should be obvious to anybody sane that the clips shown are an extreme, that America is not, by law or by vast majority, a Christian country and that from God is not where we derive our values from, ostensibly. Our values are derived from free enterprise and the 6 constitutional principles taught in most high school government classes, none of them saying anything about a deity.
Glenn Beck is out of his freaking mind.
Yes. Yes I do. Ever heard of a non-christian orphanage?
We live in free America where religion does nothing but good.
1. Americans isn`t free.2. Religion does more harm than good.
Athiests are like Nazis, trying to exterminate religion just because they don`t like it.
This one made me smile. Yes, that`s exactly whats happening. Enjoy it.
I don`t think fundie Mormons are THIS insane.
You should learn to interpret the Bible. The OT is divided into Ritual laws and moral laws. Moral laws are not change-able and have been constant. Ritual laws were dissolved with the passing of Jesus. So the whole stone of gays is not followed.
And where in the Bible does it say its ok the rape kids?
You should read the bible.
But to clarify one of his points, why is America great? Because it was built on the backs of slaves, on the bones of the natives, and with the tools of godless science.
As for linking atheists to the messianic worship of Obama, that makes no sense. A-theist, without a god. Worshiping a human as a god is not atheism...
Time and time again, Glen Beck proves that anyone that believes the cretinous droll that comes out his mouth is not only unquestionably credulous, but is clearly just as insane and delusional as he is.
Then what do you call this forum?
Also, Sprinkz, you switched your argument. At first you said religion was the reason that kids got raped by priests, but then you said that it was actually the people who were imperfect. I agree with the second part. People are not perfect, but religion is. Religion does not teach people to rape kids and kill gays. People do that out of their own imperfectness.
although its not entirely atheists, more like the secularism that america has to bow down to other religions and other people groups just for the sake of `multiculturalism` ... and forget its own culture... and the very thing that built the country to how great it is...
if you disagree with me, then i ask you, what DID build america to how great it is?
Atheist Alliance International Convention
If you rape a homosexual, youre gay."What about...all the children who were sexually abused in churches?"
The very few who that occured to and does not represent the general population?
"Religion does not do good."I guess you just want to get rid of all Christian Orphanages
What about the gay bashers who use the bible as justification to ruthlessly murder, and rape homosexuals?
What about...all the children who were sexually abused in churches?
What about...well, you get my point. Religion does not do good. People do good. Religion is a tool, or an instrument for some people to exploit--and others to use for good.
It is the people that matter. Not the religion. Or the beliefs. Because people can espouse whatever they want--it`s what they do that matters.
Do not hold religion up on a pedestal. It doesn`t deserve it. Neither does atheism. People should be held accountable. Not their belief systems.
You compared Atheists directly to Nazis. Who destroyed MORE than Jews--they destroyed Christians, Gypsies, Africans, Gays, Retards, etc.
They killed a lot of drating people. Which has NOTHING to do with atheism. If you can even compare an atheist to a Nazi then you`re fu(king sad. You`re a sad sad person.
Atheists do not go out and rally up together--it`s kind of stupid. Atheists shouldn`t even exist. No one should believe in hocus pocus bullpoo. They shouldn`t believe in the fables of morons living in caves who didn`t wear underwear.
You should believe in the informed and empirical evidence that is before you. There is no reason not to aside from your own peace of mind--atheism is radically different and it is HARD[er] to fulfill one`s need for purpose--but it can be met. I have met it. I do not look back for anything--especially God.
When someone reestablishes our government as a theocracy--then put them back up. So long as I live in this secularist country then I will enjoy not seeing the ten commandments in my courthouses.
Athiests are like Nazis, trying to exterminate religion just because they don`t like it. There is nothing wrong with it, they just don`t like it.
With Pro Wrestling, Santa Claus, and other things that aren`t real. Duh.
So much is wrong with your post. Thomas Jefferson.
And the Big Bang Theory is based on things we know about the universe. Such as the expansion of space. Oh and in case you don`t know. Big Bang is constantly questioned, tested, and argued among scientist. Scientist don`t believe it, it`s a model they are trying to prove. Until it`s proven, they don`t hold it as fact. " It`s also used to prove other things. It fits very well with the idea that all the elements were made during the big bang. So far, most of the calculations are looking promising. The problem is since no one was there, we can not undeniably prove it. It`s looking promising though.
I agree with every statement I have read from Jefferson on his opinions of religion. *I* could have made those statements. I am not a deist (or a Christian), but I could make all those statements and still be one.
I am never one to say that Barack is communist. But looking back at the history of other nations that happen to be communist, they brain wash people early in their childhood with "your leader or fuhrer" will save us all - praise him - yada yada.
This whole forum would be sh*tting bricks if it was children singing and people praising McCain.
Second point; who says science and religion cannot coexist? Scientists do not know everything, so how do they know that God does not operate under the laws of science?
And the Big Bang Theory is based on things we know about the universe. Such as the expansion of space. Oh and in case you don`t know. Big Bang is constantly questioned, tested, and argued among scientist. Scientist don`t believe it, it`s a model they are trying to prove. Until it`s proven, they don`t hold it as fact.
"It was the Lord who put it into my mind,(I could feel His hand upon me), the fact that it would be possible to sail from here to the Indies. All who heard of my project rejected it with laughter, ridiculing me. There is no question that the inspiration was from the Holy Spirit, because He comforted me with rays of marvelous inspiration from the Holy Scriptures."
As people have pointed out, our forefathers were all Christian including George Washington (he prayed at Valley Forge). The principals of our constitution are based on Christian morals.
Also, to all you scientists who think you know everything and reject religion because you cannot believe blindly in something, tell me exactly how the big bang happened. How did the universe suddenly spawn and what caused it
I support science. I support religion.
When a jackass is being a jackass on behalf of religion, or against religion. It peeves me.
When a jackass is being a jackass on behalf of science, or against science. It peeves me 1000 fold.
When you`re sitting there going ALL OF MY EMOTIONAL BELIEFS ARE TRUE, FOR I AM A SCIENTIST! You do not make your beliefs look good. You make science look bad.
You are taking something that has taken eons to develop, stripping it and using it as a shield to protect your own (often incompetently, hastily thrown together) arguments, where it simply does not belong.
Logically, this suggests you have a void. Is this accurate?Logically, this dissolves the oft repeated argument that "Science can`t be a religion, it`s just a method", as you`re putting the two on a comparable basis. (they fit the same slot, they are mutually exclusive, the fulfill the same needs)
All of this plays directly into your opponents hands. All of these things are things denied a thousand fold on this forum.
Are you really thinking about what you`re saying logically? Scientifically?
It pisses me off when people like LLef down there make silly remarks as a representative of religion.
Colossians 1:16 - For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him.John 1:3 - All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.Romans 11:36 - For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things.1 Corinthians 8:6 - Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things.
If you assume a generic term is a specific term, you clearly aren`t filling your void with science.
If you admit you have a void you`re playing into his hands.
If you think the two cannot coincide you are, despite your comment to the contrary, deriding religion, and in a way that mocks all analysis of history over the last thousand years.
What kind of scientist does that make you exactly?
Thanks, we need it.
I`m not putting down religion, just giving my views.
P.s.-they`re just kids... leave them the fu(k alone!
P.p.s- Glenn Beck is a crazy a-hole.
He makes a really striking point. So many people claim they`re atheist these days, and I am all right with that other than the fact that they, as he says, "fill the gap" with money, power, politics, and sometimes even the government. Glenn Beck isn`t pushing Religion so much as he is pushing the idea of divine law, the idea that one should not put their faiths into people or politics or the government, but instead into what he calls the "divine truth" that isn`t just in the bible, but the Constituion as well.
I was going to argue politics and religion, but that would be stupid. Let`s just all agree that Glenn Beck sucks.
Non-religious does not equal Atheist.
Thank you for your life changing insight, now I don`t have to keep following that pesky collection of fairy tales. Whew!, now time to go break all of those "laws" Christians follow.
Wait, wait,.....no (as I stated) the information you referred to is not the reason for my Faith and can itself be argued into bits.
Funny how people have mindsets to bash what other people like and or believe (religion/politics/style/appearance/intellect/etc...) all with no particular reason.
And, don`t try to bring up the ole "look what Christians did in the past" worn out argument. Opinion is a personal matter and you can`t personally know everyone.
Best of luck.
And in closing, though not directly about the video, America was founded by Christians under a Christian moral system. If you disagree, you are dead wrong. As time goes on, America extended her protection to all religions, creeds, races, sexes, etc. Why oh why does protecting people`s beliefs always end up in name calling and derision. I can think you are wrong all day, but I don`t blame all of my problems on you. You know who else did this kind of thing? Hitler. Th
and whats wrong with little kids singing a song about obama? he is our president, its not like there swearing their undieing aleigence to them. oh my god, kids saying they want to make america better, oh my god! anarchy!, i think the problem is fox news, people are seeing through them and fox is jumping on the defenceive, smearing anyone who dosent like them, its dumb to me, i dont see the problem with people actually supporting their president for a change... but thats just me
Why not just say AWESOMENESS! Seriously, is your self congratulatory praise really worth all that much?
"Also, does he know that many of the founding fathers were atheists?"
Probably few to none.Despite efforts to demonstrate otherwise. E.g. Dawkins tells us John Adams said: "This would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in it".
The quote in full tells the opposite story.
"Twenty times in the course of my late reading have I been on the point of breaking out, `This would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion at all!` But in this exclamation I would have been as fanatical as Bryant or Cleverly. Without religion, this world would be something not fit to be mentioned in polite company, I mean hell."
The same is true of Madison and Jefferson. Washington is the only unknown.
Look up Pascal`s wager, look up why it`s bullpoo, and stop embarrassing the theists who already have.
How am I supposed to make fun of all the "Can god make a mountain so heavy..." and the ones spouting the PoE arguments if I got people like you on my side?
Well, only in America. The millions of normal Americans have my eternal sympathy.
If Christians are wrong, positive outcome in the end. Poof, you are dead. A little wasted time.
If Atheists are wrong, Infinite suffering.
I`ll take the safe choice. Not as a primary reason, but as a good "scientific" afterthought.
should see a doctor =/
I wish FOX was taken off the air for defamation or something like that. I mean with all the lies which are told by their employees, they should be held responsible
Does anyone listen to Glenn Beck anymore after the frog thing? Also, does he know that many of the founding fathers were atheists?
"Fastest growing non-religious group in the country"? Awesome.
"What do they fill the void with?"... Um, scientific fact?
