Yeah, the current version of Google Earth doesn`t work with Touch. Someone should have told him that. Presenter fail, not Windows fail.

I have the 32 bit Release Candidate. It`s gorgeous and stable. A few hardware compatibility issues, but it works wonderfully with my Wacom which is similar to a touch screen or tablet. I have a feeling the issue they were having is probably fixed by now. Very nice.

yeah, this is either poorly/wrongly installed touch process or just a bug that would`ve been fixed had they reloaded the process. it also could`ve been the screen`s fault (be funny if it wasn`t a touch screen even).

and orangecrow, try out the RC for yourself, it really is the best Windows release to date. and if you don`t like Win7, there is a XP simulator just for you :)

still don`t see how an operating system costs $200/copy, Linux: Live Free or Die.

Edgarska19: If this wasn`t just a troll, Ubuntu Linux is very easy to get started with. Go to ubuntu.com, download the CD or DVD images and burn them, restart your computer with the first disc in and it should walk you through it the same as installing Windows.

With 90% of the hardware out there it should auto-detect it and have it working right out the gate. Hope that`s helpful.

If you can`t install it on your own, and dont know someone who can do it locally for you, i would stay clear of linux.

Its stable, but if something goes wrong, you are going to have a helluva time fixing it.

Not all Sony Vaio desktops have a touch screen. This is a fail of the demonstrator, not the computer (and definitely not Windows 7).

For the record, I use XP, so I`m not exactly a fanboy.

It could be Windows 7`s compatibility with the touchscreen monitor, Windows 7 itself or the touchscreen monitor itself. There are too many variables that haven`t been shown to prove or deny that Windows 7 is at fault.

I dont see why you all are such haters, I am on a computer right now that has windows 7 on it and it actually runs better now than it did 4 weeks ago when I had xp on it, so chill, dont judge it before you try it. And yes, it is possible to get a copy right now.

 My friend just got new Windows Mobile 6.5 and I m really impressed with this phone; it shows every conversation in the form of a thread, whether it’s a mail or a text message. Every conversation seems to be compartmentalized like a separate inbox .So you can view emails and text messages of a particular friend and trace his conversations since the time he first messaged you! Amazing feature, check it out here http://www.microsoft.com/india/windowsmo...
