I did a small research project on these. The robotic suits were built with healthcare and the military in mind. People with muscle disorders can move and soldiers can carry massive weights that would normally be too heavy for a human.

The way these machines work is through a network of sensors throughout the "legs" or "arms". When the user`s leg, for example, exerts pressure on the sensor, the robotic leg moves away from the source of pressure and thus we have the movement.

this is a device to help you walk MORE while using less energy.

Uh , if you`re using "less energy", aren`t you burning less calories? Your muscles would also atrophy due to the lack of resistance. I could see where a paraplegic could benefit, but other than that, nah.

Paraplegics today, but also for firefighters in the future. If there`d be a similar construction for strengthening the spine and arms, you`d be able to lift tons, which can be very useful. This could well be used to magnify input physical strength to more than people who have medical problems walking. About the muscles atrophying (I think I know what that means...), I am sure they woill be able to work around that. Give them time. I just hope this doesn`t make humans into complete superlazy slobs.
