Apparently, if you embrace Facebook as one big generator of shame-lies, you can make the site work to your advantage.

They should really post a warning, kinda like the NSFW thing only have it warn about ATOM links.

Usually Atom is just dumb and irrelevant, but I`ve never seen them get their facts so blatantly wrong before.

Facebook didn`t start as a "professional networking utility", it started as a way for people to meet other people at their college. The whole idea was that you join your school network (which was closed to anyone outside of your school), so you had a built in community. You couln`t even join without a valid college email address (ending in .edu).

After they realized how popular it was, they opened it up to everyone and once it became an international hit, the "tech-savvy professional" (yuppie) types started using it to "network" (whore themselves out).

Is it just me or does everyone immediately close the link as soon as they see its Atom?

Facebook is awesome. The only people who don`t think facebook is awesome haven`t tried facebook. I mean Twitter, yeah that sucks, but facebook is just great.

As for this actual article, like most things on Atom, I didn`t have a clue what on earth it was trying to say, and I didn`t find it entertaining either.

Atom must not pay very well, because Cheeseman can actually be funny at Cracked.

Which is odd, because Atom must be paying IAB very well.

I started to open it, then I saw "Atom" and I closed it quickly before I was exposed to any of the dumbness that is Atom. Then I saw your comments and realized I had made the right choice.

Seriously? Thats it? At no point in this rambling, incoherent response were they even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

While the quality of the pic posts has shown a minimal increase, that increase is negated by crap like this.

I have officially joined the ranks of those that will close the tab as soon as I see the name Ian Cheesman, or an atom logo.

I really don`t want to be prejudiced about a site, but this time, I have to side with the Atomhaters. Or at least notAtomlovers.

I see the Atom page loading and just cancel it right-away. That-way I don`t waste my time.
Mind-you I am at work and should probably be working right-now.
