you`ve won me over.
And what a time that was.
No, being American doesn`t make you stupid. Being STUPID makes you STUPID. Where the hell are you living that you think Europe is "the world`s a-hole"? The educated and the wealthy of both our countries` spend an insane amount of money just for the privelage of being there for -if they`re lucky- a few months out of the year.
There`s a world outside of XBox Live and IAB.. a big, ancient, breathtaking and astonishing world where the only "a-hole" must certainly be full of ignorant "s-heads" who are content with their expensive healthcare and condescending yet undereducated majority. It`s a uniquely frustrating combination.
On second thought, Europe does suck. So does Canada for that matter. Stay out of it. Please.
oh of course, Canada is only good at those jobs and certanly nothing like aerospace technology, new world leading medical equipment, amazing seemingly impossible inventions, a whole culture mind boggeling sciences or really f_cking nice people that gives us one of the greatest reps on earth. Canada invented the f*cking Wonderbra. You may as well sign alligience to us now.
really? just because ur american doesnt make u stupid. and petty insults only hurt europes crappy image and prove that ur the worlds a-hole
There`s no way I`m going to allow any of my family members to sit with a metastasized tumor growing in their bodies for 4 months before they can get squeezed in!
"Huh, funny thing health care. I`ve had nine extensive surgeries over the last 13 years using multiple doctors and several different insurance companies and I`m not indigent, on the bringk of bankruptcy or going to die. Is health insurance expensive, yes. Do I see a doctor when I want and within a timeframe that is beneficial to my condition, yes. Do we have medical insurance for the poor, elderly, disabled and veterans, yep. Do we need to spend 800+ billion again just to address 18-26 year olds who don`t get insurance anyway because they think they`re invulnerable, nope. I appreciate Canada`s system, and Europe`s, but it too has flaws and it is far too dangerous for us to ignore them and the long term impact of such entitlement programs."
My reply is above, if anyone cares.
kairobert, you are so unbelievably full of sh*t. Even IF your claim that Cuba has the greatest healthcare was true, does that make it right? I would much rather be living in a country where I have liberties than to live a sh*thole like Cuba which is run by a dictator.
There is something completely wrong with our system. And I`m not looking for free health care, I just want reasonable health care! I don`t have rich parents or a degree to get me a better job, so paying half of what i make a month to go to the doctor doesn`t seem right.
You have doctors, people to produce medicine, scientists to research, factories to produce equipment and people to supply those specialists who again supply them with health care. That is how a society works, currency is only a tool of organization.
In a most western countries, free health care is accomplished through taxes. If you look at your neighbor Cuba, they take the "money is just a tool" concept a bit further, where everyone is paid by the state, including the doctors. That way, no one has to pay for that health care. As long as the healthcare specialists are fed and supplied, they will continue their duty of keeping the population healthy. Because of this, Cuba currently has one of the best healthcare system in the world, despite fierce opposition and sabotage from its neighboring superpower.
This is how it SHOULD be. Nobody should die or go broke because they can`t afford proper medical treatment.
Everyone used to look up to the US, now it is a joke. That is what the free market does to what little culture the US had
Its the truth my southern friends!
