Seriously, the US should disown Florida like a redneck family disowns their homosexual son.

A government official to which a police officer is (in the executive branch)who violates any portion of the bill of rights is in violation of treason. The punishment for treason is life in prison or death penalty depending on the state and their take on capital punishment. The founding fathers did not take corruption and government tyranny lightly.

Talcum, your percentage might be a bit off, but the idea is right. I know a lot of officers, and they all treasure their job too much to risk anything stupid like those guys did.

Saying "cops = pigs", not cool. Saying "THOSE cops = pigs", cool!

0

Male 649
@ pink and green. they are placed on limited dutty during the course of the investigation until it is decided wether they will be charged or no. police officers are civil servants and are protected under civle service. it is not like a sheriffs office where you can be fired at the drop of a hat. there are just certin procedures that need to be followed when you are an officer

if they cut the car off then yes it is there fault. but if they stop on purpose then it is still the guy in the backs fault for following too close. the law may depend on the state but here in my state it is almost always the guy in thebacks fault no matter if you slamed your breaks on purpose or not

Male 101
Lionhart, it`s not 100% the rear car`s fault, but the percentage is up there. It`s hard to prove but the one time it`s the front persons fault is if they were braking on purpose to cause the accident (insurance fraud), or if they cut the rear car off and then had to stop suddenly

Investigation? The people in charge should have seen this video, realized the cops were guilty, and fired them. Done and over with.

Instead, they give them desk jobs, I`m assuming that will still be with full pay, and they probably won`t be punished anymore then a slap on the wrist.

The problem he has is (this is Oz law, but I assume its the same in the US): anytime a car rear-ends another car, it is automatically 100% the rear car`s fault, no exceptions. Either they were following too close for the speed, not watching the road, or failed to stop in time, whatever. Fact is you can wait at a traffic light and when a car approaches you from behind, slam it into reverse and ram the bugger, and it`ll be his fault if he can`t get out of the way in time (well, if a cop or camera saw you do that, it might be trouble, but if its your word against his, its the rear car`s fault, every time).

It is the fifth amendment:

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

As far as I am concerned those officers who swore to protect the constitution are in violation of perjury to their oath and high treason for violating that ladies inalienable rights stated in the constitution of the united states of america. Capitol punishment.

Cops should have audio and video recording of their full shift and it should be public record for review.

"Cops arent humans, theyre pigs. time and time again they prove themselves to be corrupt scum."

No, they`re not. The noob-ness of your statement notwithstanding, not everyone falls into a generalization.

"This is why no one likes or trust cops anymore."

I both like and trust cops. I, personally, have never met or been affected by a "corrupt" cop. So your statement fails.

Are there corrupt police officers? Of course, this video only proves that. Is every police officer corrupt? Of course not. Your post is pretty pathetic, Roosterkak.

If there`s one thing I learned from Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny, it`s that there is, in fact, more than one Hollywood. Lol.

This is ridiculous though. It`s cops like this that give the rest of them a bad name. There are some genuinely nice polices officers out there, but unfortunately they never get recognition because it`s the crooked cops taking up all the news time.

It`s bull.

They should be fired, no admin job, nada, just court and no job! I don`t care if "cops are human", too. They have a responsibility to protect people, not frame them and cause them grief.

Jar-Head... I didn`t know there was a US traffic code, I`ll have to look that up. Also, in the state in which I reside, the last person who could have prevented the accident is usually at fault. Sure, in most cases that`s going to be the person who rear-ended someone else, but there are times when someone pulls out in front of a person, causing the accident (rear-end), but the car that did the hitting would not be at fault... Failure to Yield.

These cops are idiots.

Surprised they didn`t try to get her for drug trafficking, and turning tricks. Hope they enjoy the lack of promotion their going to get, and the exhaustive investigations in the future. Let`s hope that they get`s more than just suspended. Make it so they can`t even get a jobs as rent-a-cops.

The pig did this because if he let her go, he would have to fix up his own car, which insurance Would not cover, since United states law says, at ALL Times no Matter What, if the driver behind you hits you, it is Their fault. So the cop thought to get smart eh? by Breaking laws he Swore an aoth to protect and abide by? This world is too corrupt for my taste. im not sure about anyone else who follows though...too bad

Seriously??? WHY is it all the dumbasses in the world have to become cops? we should seriously make it harder to become police officers and teach them atleast SOME ethics. I just got out of a $200 ticket because I was pulled over and ticketed by an OFF DUTY police officer from ANOTHER CITY and he was banking that I would pay the ticket online so when I showed up to court he got an earfull from the judge and it was dismissed

Guys like this are why I hate cops so much. I have yet to see one help me or anyone in my family.
When I was in a car accident a few weeks ago some woman slammed into me. (she was trying to make a left turn THROUGH me from the right lane, I was in the left) In the police report she was in the wrong .. no citation for her stupid driving though. And this was her second accident in 2 months.
