40% better than I expected. But those are weird questions to ask... seriously do you have to be a History Major to be able to "live the American dream"? All I had to do to become an Irish Citizen was prove naturalisation. No quizzes, no needing to learn the constitution, no stress.

It`s amazing that people still believe that the U.S. has something against Islam. Of course, there are a few crazies, but that`s in every country. You know, when everybody is sure that something is going on, but they definitely know it`s not them, then maybe it`s not going on.

My neighbors are Muslim. I have numerous Muslim friends. My best friend is Iranian. There are mosques all over the place. And, I live in
the South where we`re all just a bunch of dumb rednecks. Just think about what it`s like in the "enlightened" Northeast and West Coast.

Sometimes, when people are overly-sensitive, the smallest slight or immigration employee having a bad day, can seem like a lot more than it is. When you feel like you`re being discriminated against, just think of hundreds of other people who are just like you that got passed through with no problem. Maybe, it`s your personaility, not your ethnicity.

This is in relation to another comment, but I didn`t feel like finding it aga

Yeah, I got into an argument (big surprise) with the immigration officer who decided it would be a good idea to insult my (White Born and Bred American Citizen) girlfriend.

Where I said:

"My citizenship of my own country entitles me to land (free), a interest free home loan, amenities, healthcare, all free of tax. I currently am 2 years into a 3 year university course at one of the top universities in the world on a scholarship that gives me a higher income after expenses than the average citizen here, which I also got by rights of being a citizen of said country. My (government sponsored) scholarship also guarantees me a job.

You`re suggesting I`m going to leave that behind to live here as an Arab Muslim ILLEGAL Immigrant cleaning McDonald restrooms for less than minimum wage?

I doubt it. Unless of course everyone turns out to be as charming as you."

"I don`t trust anyone who got a 100%. If you knew the answer to the naturalization question, then you`re either a bureaucratic nerd or it was a lucky guess."

I made an educated guess, because the other ones just didn`t make any sense. Why would you PETITION for naturalisation? The other answers looked like bs, and I got it right :D

" 14. Who selects the Supreme Court justices?
The Senate is not correct.
They are appointed by the president. (NOTE: This is the response given on the official United States Citizenship and Immigration Services Web site. The president selects the justices; however, they must be confirmed by the U.S. Senate. If they are rejected by the Senate, then the president must choose a new nominee, who, again, is subject to Senate approval.)"

So they`re saying I gave them the wrong answer, then telling me it`s sort of still the right answer, but they won`t give me any points for it? Now that`s subtile.

"Leopardson, you obviously don`t watch much news. MSNBC is without question the most radical, left-wing biased TV network in the US. I doubt that even they would deny it."

I agree OldOllie, MSNBC saw the ratings Fox News got being completely right-wing and thought they`d try their hand at being extremely left-wing. After about 5 seconds of Olberman or Maddow, I feel like I need to watch some Hannity just to get myself centered again.

I don`t trust anyone who got a 100%. If you knew the answer to the naturalization question, then you`re either a bureaucratic nerd or it was a lucky guess.

"msnbc dont know poo!" Correction: They know a lot, but they, like any news organization with suspiciously large "Donations" from GOP & Friends, leave out important pieces of information from the people and specific journalists.

Leopardson, you obviously don`t watch much news. MSNBC is without question the most radical, left-wing biased TV network in the US. I doubt that even they would deny it. The only "donations" they might receive from "GOP and Friends" would be a bag of flaming poo on their front porch. They are truly despised by conservatives.

The War Powers Resolution of 1973 requires that the president notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to military action and forbids armed forces from remaining for more than 60 days, then a further 30 day withdrawal period, without an authorization of the use of military force or a declaration of war.

FYI, Bush sought and received congressional authorizations for the use of military force, which are legally equivalent to declarations of war, before invading Afghanistan and Iraq.

I clicked on their feedback link and sent them this:

Well, I took your Citizenship Quiz, and I got all of the answers correct, but you got two of the questions wrong:

2. Who is the chief justice of the Supreme Court today?

Nobody -- there is no such office. John G. Roberts Jr. is the Chief Justice of the United States.

15. How many representatives are there in Congress?

The correct answer is 535 -- 435 in the House of Representatives, and 100 in the Senate. Congress includes both houses. House members are the representatives of the people, and senators are the representatives of the states.

That gives you a score of 90%. However, considering how dishonest and inaccurate your news reporting is, this is actually better than I would have expected from you. Congratulations.

HISTORY LESSON
So you can tell your teacher IAB is Educational and browse IAB at school all day

In a historic example of what bast*rds Australians can be, the Menzies Govt tried to keep Jewish Communist Egon Kisch out of Australia by making him write the Lord`s Prayer in Scottish Gaelic - the country`s Admission Test said `any European language`; this provision was used for many years to keep `undesirables` out of Oz. Just imagine if your Citizenship Test said you had to be able to speak American, then they tested you in Shoshoni, Cheyenne or Blackfoot?

toxic, lasha, The President cannot declare war, only congress can do that. He can, however, decide to sent troops into combat for extended periods of time, but they are not a declared war. Hence the name "Operation Iraqi Freedom" or "Operation Desert Storm".

The last actual war the US was involved in was WW2. Korea, Vietnam, and the two Iraq wars were all "conflicts" Messed up isn`t it?

BTW if you actually protest a war you can be arrested in the US.

After that time congress has to actually declare war. Tenth ammendment does state that congress actually declares war-but what is the point of an actual decleration if you have been engaged in combat.

Two British Gentlemen arrive in Australia. `I say old chap`, says Alfred, `We should become Citizens, what? Get Naturalized, Old Bean! Join the Colonials!`

`What a spiffing idea!` says Algie, `But where`s the Immigration Office?` They ask a passing Aussie. `Go find it yerbloodyself, ya Pommie bastards`, he replies.

`I say!` says Algie. `Tell you what Old Bean, we`ll head in opposite directions, and meet back here in a hour; whichever of us finds it shall be able to tell the other at that juncture!`

They head off, and meet an hour later.

`I had no jolly luck at all, did you?` says Alfred.

`Rather! One found the Office rather quickly; in fact, One had such time to spare, One went in and became a Citizen while One was there. I am now an Australian!`

`Gosh how droll!`, says Alfred, `I can`t wait! Where is the Office then?`

My mistake. Ever since I was a kid, I always managed to screw up the two questions about the Deceleration of Independence and the Constitution, always switching the dates around.

As for what form must be filled out to become a naturalized citizen...is it really necessary for me to know that? I was born here.

No crazier than some internet douchebag who needs to comment on every comment. And to prove I`m an equal opportunity conservative basher I got another $500 that says Sarah Palin would fail as well.

"100% baby.. You can take your right wing patriotism and shove it up your conservative asses I earned 100%.. I got $500 that says George W Bush couldn`t pass that test."

Madest, do you see a therapist? Did you get molested by a conservative when you were a kid? I think you have some issues that need to be worked out. Maybe you secretly love George W. Bush, so you put on a facade of hatred so nobody will ever accuse of it. Well, I saw through your mask my friend and let me be the first to tell you...It`s okay. We`re all here for you. You have nothing but friends here, let it out man. Let it out.

I got 95%, missing only the one about the form for naturalization.

They should ask "Was Bill Clinton impeached?" Most Americans think he wasn`t impeached because they do not understand the term "impeachment".
