Also if it was a photo meant to "show off" a gangsta status or whatever, wouldn`t they pose the baby more appropriately for that? I dunno just a thought.
Either way I truly do hope this isn`t real.
Besides, it`s not like you shook any opinions. and the baby`s still out there selling crack whether you like it or not. so by all means, if you feel like you`re wasting your time...it`s probably because you are.
I wasn`t in the suburbs when I ran around with no shoes either.
That`s kind of an odd conclusion to jump to, really.
If it is not real, it is very sad still. That is because it is the reflection of a very common problem in all our societies. Violence, possibly drug related, is everywhere. Children are caught in the middle. It is sad but very real.
As I said, if this is not a real situation, it is art. It creates controversy and rises questions about our society. I know this because I am a psychologist that works in art analysis.
And BTW teenagers are not stupid. They are inexperienced. We all were there.
They`re silent. Don`t worry about them.
The site is all in russian and since I don`t know how to read, write, or speak russian it would be fifficult for me to locate the picture on that site.
It is possible the picture may have been taken in another country where people may be more lax about these kinds of things and truly was only intended for art/humor purposes. Or maybe it could be a real picture that somehow got leaked and found it`s way on to joke sites.
We may never fully know but I`m still placing my bet on it not being "real".
You really think most criminals do it to fed their babies or because they can`t pay bills?99.9% of them are worthless greedy bastards who don`t even try to get a job and should be shot as sight.
how do we know thats the dad`s `equipment` maybe the kid is on work experience or something
Finally, why in the name of all things holy am I arguing with a bunch of teenagers who have made it obvious from their comments that they would be incapable of finding their own asscheeks in the dark even if they used both hands and a floodlight?
Flame away kiddies. Osiris is in a nasty mood and feels like chewing up a few self-righteous, ignorant dumbasses for his own entertainment this evening.
Furthermore, a search for other online sources of this photo using tineye.com gives 11 results, 10 of which are from European websites not published in English. A Babelfish translation of the Italian pages does not give any relevant information. There is no evidence that this photo is in the portfolio of any professional photographer. It`s not even on flickr.
@ B-Hazard: Don`t be an a**hole. There`s nothing wrong with kids playing outside with no shoes on, weather permitting, but it`s a safe guess that wherever these people live is NOT in the safety of the suburbs. The glass in the window is dirty, and the windowframe indicates older construction and several layers of paint. That tells me inner city. Maybe YOU`D let your kids run around outside sans shoes in an urban environment, but a good parent WOULDN`T.
Just because it`s b&w doesn`t make it "art". There are countless free software programs that are capable of changing any photo from color to b&w with a single mouse click. There`s nothing "arty" about that.
@ explody: Yes, all teenagers ARE as dumb as I think. I used to be one, therefore I know.
Your statement "The quality is good" means nothing. Any idiot can buy a 10+ megapixel point & shoot digital camera at Target or Wal-Mart for $200 or less, and your statement that "the layout is carefully planned" is subjective and speculative. You have no way of proving that. How do YOU know what the "artists intention" was?
Are you f*cking retarded? (Like osirisascend, I`m an avid 2nd amendment supporter as well. I find that the people who legally own guns are usually the most sensible ones about guns.)
As for "is it art or not" - artistically speaking, this photo is yawntastic.
My god! What?!
On a side note. Those of who who say this is a bad idea as an art photo because the child could....shoot itself?I`m not sure any photographer would find it all too necessary to use actual crack or actual guns. let alone actual guns that are actually loaded with actual bullets.
"I`m sorry honey I can`t play with you now, daddy has to bust a cap in someone`s ass for snitchin` on his pimpin` ring."
So should the child awake, it could pick up one of those guns as easily as it could pick up the bottle laying next to it`s leg.
But I guess that`s okay in your eyes too?
I suppose that the 13-17`s also think it`s okay for an infant to be in such close proximity to illegal narcotics?
I will also point out the condition of the socks the infant is wearing. The amount of dirt on the soles shows that:
1. The floors in that house are FILTHY.
2. The child has been outdoors without shoes.
3. Some combination of the two.
Anyone else want to claim that there isn`t a problem here, or that this photograph is "art"?
Way more of a G than the guy that took this picture.
Our society is going to hell in a handbasket.
Now before all you young ones start running your mouths, understand that I a a FIRM supporter of the Second Amendment. I have a Federal Firearms License, am licensed to carry concealed weapons in both New York and Minnesota, and have an arsenal in my house sufficient to equip every member of a SWAT team.
My problem is NOT with guns.
My problem is with the blatant lack of responsibility, and overly casual attitude towards firearms shown by idiots like the one who took this photograph.
I agree with FerdyFred. I`d BREAK the a**hole who thought this photo was a good idea into bite-size pieces with my bare hands if I was given the opportunity.
the guns are unloaded and i don`t think the baby can flip around grab a bullet put it in the gun and shoot it
And you all wonder why I like guns so much... ;D
The alternate possibility just makes my blood boil. It`s not entirely out of the question that some drug-dealing gangsta posed his sleeping child with his guns and cash thinking to himself: "This photo is gonna be DOPE... my whole crew is gonna LOVE this shizznit."
This is the kind of thing you call CPS for no questions asked. If this is actually real, the child needs to be removed from that situation YESTERDAY.
ohhhh no pager. Drug dealers usually have pagers
Nope, he`s a cop who doesn`t trust banks so he keeps his money safe at home. Duh.
also @reggae dude....... i dont think i have anything to say.
You ought to see something like this in real life. Makes you want to kick the poo out of the parents..
Make stuffed animals?
Look at the color of those socks. They`re dirty!
