Now if only this light were marketed towards roosters it would probably sell...humans? not so much...a dollar store alarm clock or my cell phone works for me....silly Philips.

....you don`t need that to make a rooster crow at 3am. I`d like something to stop the crowing at weird hours of the night, thank you.

VV depends where you live... he`s from canada, so you never know. But that`s not where they shot this so it`s irrelevant anyway.

Anyone who has spent very much time at all around roosters knows that they don`t necessarily crow when the sun comes up. My next door neighbor has one that usually starts crowing between 4:30 and 5:00 am.

The farm I used to live on had roosters, and they`d crow before the sun came up anyway, so I`m not buying into this

@atconner,

Yes you can simulate sunlight. my grandfather made his own lightbox that did that very thing. used to put it on every morning when he had to get up earlier than usuall

uhh, natural wavelength of the sun? what ... what background in physics do you have? You realize the sun puts out a spectrum of wavelengths, right?

I`ve not even taken the time to watch the vid all the way through, but I`m assuming from the comments and title that it`s a product plug for a Phillips Wake-Up light. Again, going on no research and just super clever intuition of mine, I should assume that it`s a special type of light, not just an ordinary flashlight. Granted, a flashlight may work, but this light is designed to simulate the sun, and stimulate people into adopting unnatural sleep patterns more easily. When you`re trying to adjust your sleep pattern, you`re supposed to force yourself to get up at the time you should, no matter how shocking you feel, and face the sun for 15 mins, helping reset your body clock. I can, again, only assume that this particular wake up light emits light at a similar wavelength to natural daylight and this is what is significant about it.

I could`ve done that with a 5 dollar budget. These guys took this thing way too seriously.

Yes, Spider_sol. And! They made it crow. Which roosters usually do anyway.

Ha, if you know anything about chickens,you would know the dang things crow all the time.. even at three a.m. It isn`t `special` that a light made it crow at 3 a.m. =/

The `experiment` didn`t have any control condition either.. like waking up the rooster by jarring the house.. would he crow then in still darkness?

Whatever though..

So they drilled holes in some farmer`s chicken coup and spent an entire day running wires and hooking up electronics just for a light to turn on?
