some of this doesnt sum up:
4% india = 60,000,000
100%/4% = 25
25 * 60,000,000 = 1,500,000,000
actual pouplation of india as of 2009 = 1,166,079,217(gotta love cia factbooks accuracy xD)
so either A LOT of people died between 2008 and 2009 or they just drated up their calculations...noobs
why the drat did i care? i know not! and therefore i do not expect you to care :)

So wait, there are 3.5 more Chinese people on the internet than Japanese people, but 3.5 times less of the whole Chinese population than the Japanese population. What does that say?

There are a pooload of Chinese people who don`t have internet.

What are you talking about!? There are like 29,000 people in Tassie`s 3rd-largest city, where I live. The whole state has 490,000 people! Why just the other day, I met a guy down Hobart I`d never met before!

"The Brazil percent seems to be wrong, it has a higher number than both India and Germany, but a lower percent of the world."

Noticed that, too, but it could be simply a higher number of users but using less total bandwidth. It makes sense to me that fewer users in India would be hosting more traffic, for example, than more users in Brazil

Come on, you people complaining about Canada and Australia being missing - the chart is the nations with the largest populations online. That is why China and India, the nations with the biggest populations, are included, but not Indonesia, who have a huge population but don`t have a lot of internet users. So, I am sorry to say that Australia and Canada simply do not have a large enough population to be included here

Lionhart, there are those of us young folks who use laptops as our main computers and thus do not have monster screens. For example, my laptop has a 17" screen and I could still only see about half of the image at once. It`s not so much a question of how advanced your technology is, just a matter of what you prefer and use.

> this picture is way too big for me lil screen

Seriously? Or are you joking and I didn`t get it? Cause it only fills about a quarter of my screen.

Of course I`m legally blind and have a large screen, but still, wouldn`t have thought users had anything less than a 21-inch these days?

Don`t be silly, that 45% Web and 25% P2P is the porn, the `Other` 8% is the Roswell Aliens phoning home.

It`s really not something to brag about considering the land size of china and India vs. their population. They are grossly overpopulated and cannot support/feed the number of people they have on that size land, but thank god they`ll be #1 in computer users!

Wow, China more than doubled in two years, impressive. But the numbers are wrong with India, according to this, India has 1.5 billion people, they have closer to 1.1b. So, somebody rounded wrong.

Trivia of the Day: Greenland is the 1st ranked country in internet penetration.
