After reading this, none made me smile, just smirk. I guess my life isn`t depressing enough? :P
And yes, that is meant with a dose of sincerity.
This is how the bloody news is too. They report on a subject, everyone gets paranoid, turns out they shouldn`t have worried at all.
If it made them smile it means that they found it pleasant/funny and since there`s nothing pleasant about swine flu (Also know under the name Spanish flu) then I suppose it must be the irony that they just declared their love to the rest of the world and they`re going to die shortly after.
The flu symptoms dissipate and it looks like you`re cured but then it comes back a few months after and you die. All those people who think they got better are going to have one hell of a surprise soon... that is, if you take into account the history of this illness. (Note there was no real scientific study done on H1N1 back then and maybe they just got it all wrong but there`s a chance that what was noted back then is just what`s going to happen all over again. Very hypotehtical I know.)
Sorry to be the one to break the news.
They laugh? I didn`t see any sort of funny comment in the discription you posted. Besides, I don`t know anything about swine flu, but is it really guarenteed death?
"Infectious Love: Ilana Jackson, left, and Jeremy Fierstien wear surgical masks during their wedding on June 14 in Highland Park, Ill. They went ahead with their nuptials after learning just 48 hours earlier that both had swine flu."
Seriously... those people laugh at people who are going to die just after declaring their love for each other to the world!
What a bunch of jerks.
