Lol love how hes fine until he gets out of the car. Moral of the story? You`re safer DUI than getting out of the car.

Those anti-drug commercials only make people want to do them more, D.A.R.E. didn`t work, neither do these. Just legalize it all, the stupid people will end up killing themselves off, and the world can move on to more productive things... like never making one of these retarded wastes of tax payers money.

So how do we know the guy that hit him wasn`t DRUNK off his ass? He probably was, the son of a bitch.

Yea but in all seriousness the guy a few posts below me hit the nail right on the head. Message? If you are driving stoned, do not under any circumstances stop driving and hand over driving responsibilities to a perhaps more sober person? Naw f*ck that, you`re in it to win it, all the way baby! Yea!!

That happened to me once, I woke up hella` hungry in the hospital but all they had to munch on was mash patatoes that was made out of powder (Not Even REAL patatoes) but hey... I was so baked that I ate it up and asked for more, then just resorted to eating the powder directly!

Right. Let`s counteract the depraved morals of our society by instilling in them fear of negative consequences.

THAT`S worked so far.

I don`T see how that scares people from driving high, since he wasn`t even driving when he died. Sober people don`t check their mirrors often, either..

Sorry but that was stupid and says nothing about driving high. He was goofing up a little but unless the other driver was high, it was pointless.

He didn`t look when he got out of the car, but he was out and walking when the other car hit him. There were no brakes squealing, but he had been out long enough for the guy to see him and try to swerve or honk or something.

Yeah, I get the idea but they screwed it up.

Pansy America. We`re so caught up in `let`s not scare the children` that we let them do stupid sh*t instead, and god forbid we spank them to discipline them and *closes pandora`s box* Seriously, this `we`re protecting our kids` thing is just too much. Scare them! I don`t care if they have a couple nightmares. At least they`ll be alive to have them.

..though it is overboard with pot. I`d rather for alcohol or something a lot more dangerous.

They would be better served showing someone shooting up crack or dropping pills instead of simply having 1 toke from a joint.
But then again this would have been even better served as a don`t drink and drive advert and focusing on the guy who crashed (he is Australian so chances are he was drunk :-P )

"actually. weed is suppose to make you a better driver because it causes you to be paranoid. My friends do it and so do I and we both are more focused when driving high."

yeah because thats completely sensible isnt it, lets advise everyone that its completely safe!!

on another note, vids not that bad. our British ones are much more graphic and scare the cr*p outta me.

Male 71
Right.... a few things. Firstly it seems to suggest the driver that hit him is the one we should be checking to see is drunk/high as he didn`t even attempt to swerve even though he would have had enough reaction time to do so. And Secondly, 1 toke from a joint would not be enough to impair you that much that you wouldn`t see a car hurtling down the road towards you when you get out the car.
Stupid commercial.

0

that was stupid. anyone driving down the road would see someone get out of their car, they would move.
unless the oral of this story is about the guy driving the car who hit the guy. only someone drunk/on the phone/texting/high/or retarded wouldnt see someone get out of their car and either swerve or slow down

Yeah, he got killed because he stepped out of the car without checking.

Rule 1 of driving is to always be aware of your surroundings and he clearly wasn`t.

It`s confusing... sooo, it`s not a good idea to get out of the car and let someone else drive if we`re not coherent?

Pot can`t hurt you, not if you take it responsibly... just like drinking.

and ajd: the steering wheel is on the opposite side, but so is the driving, so it would be the same.

Female 385
while i agree that most people i know probably usually drive fine after a couple of tokes, i think the ad is still a good idea. cause i mean, it DOES slow reaction time. you cant deny that, and some people are idoits, who drive when they`re completely screwed out of their minds.

i liked the one with the talking matchbook. cause it messed you up real good if you were high

first of all it`s not super graphic, yah, there is the blurr of action implying that the man was struck by a car but there are some down-right AWFUL european commercials that warn on drunk driving that involve slow motion death and are ACTUALLY graphic, meaning that they display drawn out violence not just the hint of accident.

and i just thought it was funny that he didn`t crash at all, the commercial more shows the danger of being on foot after one hit from a joint. grrrrrrreat!

im in my right mind but dont look backward first. does that make me stoned? if so, where cn i get more of this wonder drug that gets ya stoned w/o taking it?

its the driver of the other cars fault, coz the stoner stopped, put on hazards, and then looked into the road as he was getting out. the driver that hit him had plenty of time to look and slow down/drive around the car.

oh, and to anyone that thinks different, i`d gladly let you buy me a bag, get me stoned, and i will gladly show you i could still pass a standard driving test, and drive any vehicle of your chosing to do so. most of the people that i know that smoke, those that know they can`t drive proper high, DONT DRIVE HIGH!

Hehe, now that poor girl will only think: "IF ONLY I HAD LET HIM DRIVE!!"

Think on it; if he had driven into a tree or another car or something (at those speeds), he might be banged up or the car might have been ruined, but he probably wouldn`t be dead.
