That`s not isosceles. Normal slices with the crust cut off would be isosceles.

vv no they wouldn`t be isosceles because of the arch of the crust - so he did cut an isosceles triangle, but the directions asked for "triangles" so he would have to cut another one.

I have worked at Pizza Hut for almost two years now. I go in tomorrow. Our Pizza Hut is mainly just a bunch of college kids, we`re not stupid, but we play around a lot. Thats pretty funny, but actually I don`t think our manager would allow this, for whatever reason. They would call them back. The reason this pizza is so expensive I think is because they added almost 5 toppings. But still its kinda whacky...

    Uhg...I hate pizza :(

_kiersten_, it`s because you live in the west.
come to new york. best pizza around (although i heard Chicago is just as good; just different).

best pizza i have ever had: New York Pizzeria. Hamilton, NY. where Colgate University is. founded in 1977. 1 slice=$1, soda=$0.75, 1 slice+soda=$1.25. slices come plain only. additional toppings cost extra.

only been there a few times and memorized (almost) everything. that`s how good it is

Triangle(s), fair enough, however, you`re implying a grammatical number here. You would still say 0 triangles, but you`d still say he got it wrong even though grammatically it could be argued he`s right.

You could also say the number of triangles (plural, with an s) is one.

Easiest solution would be to cut the corners off the main triangle to form 4 smaller triangles though.

    FIRST OF ALL
    That`s a scalene triangle

    SECOND OF ALL
Cutting it like normally would provide isosceles triangles, albeit with one curved side. Also, that`s one triangle, not multiple, like what was asked, and there`s still a bunch of random pieces lying around

So all in all, this is not nearly as epic as you guys seem to think,

Jeez, all triangles are going to be scalene when cut into a soft transported item. The idea that you could get them perfect is silly.

Cutting it normally, straight-cutting the crusts, would give what they asked for. Apparently for some people you need a precision laser, an electron microscope and some liquid nitrogen added to the mix, but drat it, it`s cheaper to hire a hit on those non-nice individuals, and way more satisfying than a job well done.

I know its a scalene triangle, and I know if you cut it regular it would be in isosceles triangles. Thats The joke, They don`t know what an isosceles triangle is, they were too thick to realize the customer was asking for them to cut it normally. Its Funny that they thought they wanted them to cut one big triangle out of the middle and leave three big chunks behind that aren`t triangles.

So its pretty Obvious you, not us don`t get the joke.

This might sound stupid, but if he actually had wanted isosceles triangles, and that is the normal way that one slices a pizza, then why would he consider that "special instructions" - that implies that he wants the poor hardworking employees to do something unusual, which they did. I say the employees are the winners here.

The "Pizza Hut cutter" did that on purpose. It`s not hard to cut a pizza the right way. Even the retarded teenagers that I`ve seen working at PH can at least cut a pizza better than that. This was intentional. Someone wanted attention (and maybe even a hug).

I read something one time where they requested mushrooms on one half the pizza and sausage on the other half. Only... mushrooms on the left and sausage on the right. Pizza came backwards, so they complained. Worker told them to turn the pizza around.
Also, they ordered a small pizza with only sausage, no cheese, no sauce, nothing but sausage. The pizza came, a piece of bread with sausage pieces rolling around in the box.

"This may be the cleverest Pizza Hut pizza cutter ever." If by cleverest you mean dumbest, then yes because Pizza Hut pizza is always cut into f*cking isosceles triangles. Yea, so make sure your own intelligence is fully intact before trying to call others "not too bright."

i think its clever because it was a smartass special request to make, since, like you said, theyre always cut into isosceles triangles.

..er well technically, they don`t normally cut it into isosceles triangles because the crust is round. so you can all shut up.

Well technically technically, the crust is a variable-depth ovaloid compound with organic aggregates and inclusions, generally cut into isocelean configuration with apexial sides (r), the base of the polygons being an arc of length 1/8(pi(sqr(r))) with a variance of +/- 10%

megann_exoh is correct, all they had to do was cut it normally then cut the ends, then throw out the end bits and give him less pizza than he would normally have got, for being such a smarta*s.

uhh... I know I`ll sound like a total math nerd but that`s a SCALENE triangle. Isosceles triangles have two equal length sides.
