As usual, Wikipedia is here rescue us from ignorance. It`s actually pretty amazing how many cultures used this symbol (both left- and right-facing).

> TeddyBoy 11 and Others
> the mustache

Actually what we know as the "Hitler" mustache was pretty much the favourite, most popular mustache of men everywhere before WW2 - and I mean like 90% of mustache wearers had it! Hitler single-handedly changed the facial hairstyle of the entire 20th century from the time he declared war onwards, as everyone either shaved them off or changed the style thanks to him.

Yea, it`s just the angle of the picture. The Nazi swastika makes an x like shape while the native American makes more of a cross shape.

As mentioned earlier, those aren`t swatstikas. In other words, this picture fails. Unless of course, you didn`t know that.

Now, if it were on a diagonel, then yes, it would indeed be a swatstikas, espcially if tan, white red and black were displayed

Actually the symbol only stands for peace when it looks like this.

not this:

Either hitler gets the swastika or the mustache, he can`t just go claimin` both. Thats bull. I feel bad for all the Charlie Chaplin fans out there who can`t enjoy their stashes without being mistaken for the Fuhrer.

I have mixed feelings about this sort of thing. Yes, the symbol did, and for many still does, symbolize peace. But because Hitler stole it, it also symbolizes hate, violence and death. So, is it OK to still use it in it`s original form, or should we let Hitler have the symbol, and banish it forever? I just don`t know.

"Huh. Would make sense. Hitler`s whole platform was the Arian brotherhood, restoring order to Germany and he talked a lot about peace and whatnot(even while he was burning people alive for not being Arian). In both the Americas and Asia, that symbol stands for peace and brotherhood, sometimes just good luck.

Hitler tipped it over and used it as a rally for bloodshed. . . Like so many other symbols of peace have been. *sigh* He was one messed up dude.

No, I don`t think that`s his actual dorm room. He was never accepted to art school."

taitano, the fact that you have all your facts straight, coupled with that last line makes you my hero forever.

Maybe this has been said before (I`m too lazy to find out), but those aren`t Nazi swastikas...they are an ancient symbol that the Nazi`s stole for their own perversion.

Odd, really really odd. My first thought was its probably the Hindu sig, not the Hitler sign. Hitler ruined it.

"well actually lionhart, you can`t call all indians native americans because they aren`t all american indians, and calling them native canadian indians is just retarded lol."

Somebody has a LOT of nerve calling anyone else retarded. Canada is in North America, dumb ass. There was a continent called North America (and one called South America, too) long before there was a country called the United States of America.

Do you not know the name of your own country? Lionhart is from Australia and he knows more about the United States than you do. The funniest part is that you have the nerve to call him retarded when you don`t know what continent you live on.

Lionhart is a very intelligent guy, and I would bet that he has crapped steaming turds less retarded than you.

Goddamn, the level of stupidity around here. They`re not called Native Americans because they`re in the country American.
THINK, PEOPLE!
WHAT IS THE NAME OF THIS CONTINENT?

Also, the symbol isn`t just Native American. Buddhists use it too. That`s most of f-ing Asia.

And this picture has nothing to do with hitler, those are peaceful symbols, swastikas are at an angle on their corner not squared like these, I am pretty sure they actually stand for brotherhood.

"Yeah yeah, Political Correctness wank at its best. EVERYONE born in America is a native american; about 50% of the population of IAB is native American."

This is technically true, but most people in the US and Canada knows that difference between Native American and a native American. Besides, how is it any less ambiguous than the incorrect term "Indian?" Indians are in Southern Asia.

...don`t know if they still teach this in schools nowadays, but the swastika was used in many cultures as a symbol of luck and/or well being...this is until the nazis adapted it for all their good deeds towards humanity, primarily jews...

yes, i was being sarcastic at the end.

It is a really old symbol meaning tons of different things from wealth to strength and so forth. It`s Bhuddist and Hinduism and its even in Christianity and Judaism. But it is also in many Native American cultures most primarily Navajo. So judging by the dream catchers I`d say it`s Native American which I`m sure most people guessed anyway. But I agree with Jadesy... it wasn`t very funny to begin with. You`d expect a dorm reeom filled with anti sematic crap and such,,, not a quilt in pastels and dream catchers.

Nicw to know Hitler liked to catch a dream. LOL
But the fluffy animals? I`d say he may have been short a few cents.

And just so you know, it was the left facing swastika for the Buddhists. The right facing, bad or "evil" swastika was the one was invented by z german.

Lets hope this argument lasts as long as a fart in a fan factory.

Idk...can you really kill a joke that wasn`t too funny to begin with? I mean...if the blanket didn`t look like something you might actually find in grandma`s house, sure it would be funny. Like if it were any combination of red/black/white...then it would have been funnier ;o With the current color scheme it just seems so docile o.o And Native American. Not Hitlery D:
