I agree that the operator was being a di*k but she`s playing the innocent victim and most people are actually believing it.
Let me restate this in a way as to demonstrate my point: I am a health care professional. We are trained that it is a basic part of ethics to assume that the person we are dealing with is seeking help in the first place because they are dealing with a situation with which it is beyond their current abilities to cope well independently. We are supposed to facilitate the person getting their needs met, starting where they are. Honestly a police officer that gets that upset about a scared kid using the "f" word doesn`t need to be a police officer. He needs a therapist to help him thicken his skin, soften his heart, and harden his resolve to actually serve the public as he has committed to do in his career.
i dissagree entirely and i heard somewhere that the dad diesd because of this 911 must deal with much worse mouths then hers i feel very bad for her
If she was really worried about her dad dying why did she call just to ask what the operators name was so she could sue him! Way to play the victim girl.
The job of someone handling a 911 call is not to police someone`s use of language, nor is it their privilege to decide whether to help based on whether or not they think the caller is an adequately good girl. People calling 911 are usually not in a position to pull out their etiquette primers or review the Ten Commandments first. (Also did you notice that he responded to the caller by cussing back at her? Maybe he should have asked the guy at the next desk to arrest him?)
Cops like this are the sort that give the rest an unfairly bad name.
Ok let`s analyze the difference between a 17 year old and a law enforcement officer. 17 year olds do not have college educations. Most haven`t even graduated high school. 17 year olds are not paid 62K a year to f-ck over the very people who pay that salary. 17 year olds are not professionally trained and expected to handle any and all emergency situations. 17 year olds are KIDS. 17 year olds are expected to have foul mouths. 17 year olds are stupid, which is probably why you never see 17 year old cops. There is a reason people hate cops, because many are pieces of sh-t like this guy.
Excuse the language.
no no, its "God, what a typical cop. >:C"
WHY ARE PEOPLE SUCH IMMATURE RETARDS?
*Sobs* I hate this place. I think we`re already living in Hell.
If you deal with emergency phone calls for a living and dislike people swearing, go f*ck yourself, getting a f*cking life and a f*cking job at Chuck E Cheeses so that while you may have kids kicking you in the neck, they won`t be using vulgar language while their father lays unconscious on the floor.
You can sue someone for ARRESTING WITHOUT REASON. Swearing is NOT ILLEGAL.
I mean, the girl should have said that her dad was having a stroke ASAP, but that is not how to be professional. Why did the dispatcher even sign up for the job if he was gonna do stuff like this?
Cop or no, I don`t see any reason why this guy shouldn`t be booted for this, and possibly brought up on charges.
"You get no ambulance, go die because the f word offends me. I hope your house burns down"
Also the police chief there clearly knew poo got messed up so at least there is a good example of a cop to offset the bad one.
I`ve tried submitting a poo load of material. None make it then days later I see it on here from someone else. Soooo yea. :|
You can sue anybody for anything.
You know what? I`m just going to say I hate you with a fiery passion and leave it at that.
repost. repost. repost. repost. repost.
Ummm... they don`t want too many of the brightest in the police force. They hire a lot of dip poos for a reason. I`ve read of certain areas NOT allowing a person to become a cop because they scored to high on exams. Of course I read it online so you know how that goes.
"Foul-mouthed girl"? If it had been a man`s voice swearing on the phone, he wouldn`t have batted an eye I`m sure.
THEY`RE JUST WORDS PEOPLE. Jesus drat, what harm do they do? And when you`re calling for an ambulance, I doubt `politeness` is the last thing on your mind. This makes me unbelievably angry.
What if her dad died because the cop spent 6 minutes lecturing the girl, insulting her and hanging up on her instead of sending an ambulance? SURE she was swearing and yelling, but I would be too if I saw my dad like that. If he can`t handle swearing from distressed callers, then he shouldn`t be there.
Probably wouldn`t matter though. Even if he HAD died, they likely would have given him a slap on the wrist and send him back out.
Her initial "What the f**" was BEFORE the call was picked up... she was probably wondering why it was taking so long to answer. Yes.. I know it wasn`t that long, but when you are panicked seconds feel like eternities.
The fact the cop called her an a$$ and a buffoon only fueled the problem, taking it from panic to anger since he wasn`t wanting to help... which is sort of part of the job description.
I know it`s a repost but this di*kwad cop needs more bad publicity.
@ pmarren: You are working overtime this week at being King Of The Trolls... you need a hug or something?
@ webcamwanker: As time goes on, your posts are less coherent, but more amusing. Apparently the shame of living in your parent`s house is affecting your sanity... not that it wasn`t already in question.
@ Everyone screaming repost: Why don`t you try submitting content instead of complaining about it?
I second that.
she was too into swearing to actually help her dad, thats it, the bitch deserved it.
holy poo i didnt even hear that part D;
thats even worse!
Look it up if you don`t believe me.
The guy narrator said that there wasn`t even a law for that, the cop made it up.
jeez, if this happened to my dad id be swearing too!
stoopid cop, he shouldnt be allowed to work in the police force anymore, or the same mistake might be made, clearly he is too proud to admit that he was wrong.
