The recession isn"t so bad when you think about what we"re getting rid of. Think of it as a form of Spring cleaning.

Yeah. Crocs are quite possibly the most horrendous fashion no-no ever devised.

And this is taking into consideration the fanny-pack.

We should not rest till every Starbucks sludge store is closed. God bless Capitalism, but Starcrooks overpriced drinks was way over the top, even for us spoiled Americans.

I like Deal or No Deal :-/ Besides, it`s not the only show moving to CT. Jerry Springer, Steve Wilkos, Maury and probably others are moving there too.

Supersmash, the centre of the Universe is at W. 34 and Herald Sq. in NYC. There`s 2 starbucks in Penn Station and across the street in the giant ass Macy`s and then 4 more down the block two on each side. Some people are said to have disappeared while walking down that street.

Bah...Crocs. The only people who think they are comfortable were wearing the wrong shoes to begin with. Are they comfortable compared flip-flops? Obviously. But compared to a durable, supportive shoe that isn`t entirely rubber? Hell no.

I have to say that I`m sorry about Crocs. I admit that they`re ugly as hell, but I own a pair and they are by far the most comfortable shoes I own for the summer, even though they get cold in the winter. Plus, they cover your toes, unlike flip-flops, so poor innocent bystanders don`t have to see my nasty feet.

@OldOllie

Yus, because a 10-15 mpg tank is much better than a 25 mpg aerodynamic hotwheels car.

Screw it, I`ll just stick to my drive-300-miles-on-8-gallons-Honda.

"Right, LH. A preposition is a word you should never end a sentence with."

Yes, ending sentences with prepositions is a habit we can do without. It`s not something we can continue to run from. It is a serious problem which we need to put an end to.

It`s too bad about the Hummer. That was actually one of GM`s most profitable brands. They lost some sales when gas ran up to $4, but they were coming back as gas prices dropped. Hummer went away because Obama and the global warming Nazis decided they were politically incorrect, and since they nationalized GM, they were able to shut it down.

One of the things that killed GM was having to sell all those under-sized, under-powered tin foil deathtraps in order to meet government-mandated corporate average fuel economy (CAFE) standards, i.e., if you sell a car that gets 20 mpg, you have to sell another car that gets 35 mpg to keep your average up to 27.5 mpg. (It`s actually more complicated than that, but you get the idea.) The problem is, nobody really wants to drive these glorified golf carts, so GM had to sell them at $3000-4000 below cost to move enough of them to meet CAFE standards.

BTW, global warming is a socialist hoax.

Right, LH. A preposition is a word you should never end a sentence with.

Ugh, I hate Crocs. People think they`re comfy for some reason... I personally can`t stand the feeling of little plastic bumps on my feet, and plus, those things are pug-fugly.

I live in Houston and have actually seen what Lewis Black calls the center of the universe. That would be two Starbucks directly across the street from each other. You can literally sit outside and wave at another person at the other Starbucks.

"WHAT. Why is starbucks on here???"

Because they expanded too fast, are not making any money, and are now closing one of every three stores, including the one nearest my house. Never fear, though, there are still two more further down the street in either direction still going strong.

The Atkins Diet didn`t die because of the recession; it died because Dr. Atkins died

I love Starbucks, but it does get ridiculous how many there are.

In my mall, there were FOUR, and it isn`t even a really big mall. And it`s not like they are spaced apart- they are on opposite corners of the food court, and then the other two are below it right across from each other.
