I know about 81/100 of the listed things and I`m almost 15. Thanks to dad, whose 50+ years older than me and his love of old technology. Most of the ones I didn`t know had to do with gaming, since I`m not a gamer.
Old school pacman arcade games with the joystick are so fun; it`s sad the next generation probably wouldn`t dream of getting to see one.

Maybe I`m just super-oldschool, but I remember some of these things...

30. Blowing the dust out of a NES cartridge in the hopes that it’ll load this time. HA!

`This list sorta missed my generation. I remember a lot of these things.`

Same. I think it`s probably for people who are becoming parents now, rather than those who`ve had kids for a while. But it brings back memories, yeah. =]

Man, I`m 20 and I felt old reading this. Especially the internet bits.

I`ve had a computer since I was 3, and internet since I was 5. That`s 92 and 94 respectively. I remember DOS alongside kindergarten.

I remember HTML, IRC, and CompuServe forums alongside 1st and 2nd grade. I remember making an Angelfire webpage with flashy colors and animated gifs when I was 6 and thinking "THIS IS THE SH*T MAN!!"

.... and then finding out nobody my age knew what a webpage was.

22 Here. Out of the 100, I knew all of it and used/seen/had(eperience the other 90 regulariliy.

The stuff I didn`t use, was things that weren`t all that popular in sweden to begin with. Like cheques. In the last 15 years I`ve only actually seen one cheque beeing used here. Same goes for Laserdiscs, the foreign chocolate thingíes etc.

God, dude. You made ME feel old and I`m only 15. I know exactly what every single one of those was. Back in `97 I used to use cassette tapes and 8 tracks.

Most of this is sad but true.

A few forgotten ones:

101. Good music.
102. The Odyssey(First home gaming system)
103. Atari
104. Sega
105. Town Club Soda
106. Warheads(Sour candy)
107. What an 8-bit game was
108. The 80`s
109. Vampires suck your blood. Not save your life.
110. Commercials used to be clean.
111. WWF
112. Any 90`s/80`s cartoons from Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon. (By the way...Anyone remember when it was called Nickelodeon? It`s just Nick now...)

I`m done now.

I still do a lot of that stuff, but some of it was outmoded long before I was born. I agree with Seaker - there`s so much variation in when these became outmoded that it could apply to different generations. Pretty much anyone in my age group will remember half of these, and still use or do quite a few.

This list is retarded. It has such a wide array of outdated technology, that title could apply to 3 different generations.

Why in the world would you put 8 track tapes on the same list as Fax Machines? I work in telephony and Fax Machines are found in every single business I see. 8 track tapes have been dead for 35 years.

I`ll tell you what is really funny, though. After all this, we still call it "Dialing" the phone. It has been many years since phones had actual "dials" - now you are just pushing a series of buttons, yet we still call it "dialing" for some unfathomable reason

Do people not wear red and green glasses to 3d movies? I haven`t seen one yet because they charge more in my town and always play the film in 2d on another screen.

Some things that should be on the list
Merry go rounds
Swing sets
Spring mounted animals that always threw you headfirst into the ground.
Monkeybars
Anyone else notice these things disappearing from parks?

Do you REALLY miss overpriced RAM, crappy VHS with f*cked up colors and translation done by a single person, spinning your NES/SNES/Sega/Playstation/whatever all around to get it to work, minidisc and betamax that no one used anyway, bulky physical dictionaries that took forever to find a word, and GETTING LOST? In one of his reviews AVGN said: "Imagine if you trap a wet smelly piece of dog s**t inside an airtight container. Then like 20 years later you open that s**t up, you take a good smell and there you go. Welcome back." That is exactly how I feel reading this list.

I am so glad I never had to use jumpers to set IRQs. That just seems like it would be a nightmare for me. Hell, I even hate moving the jumper to clear the BIOS.

Dot-matrix and DOS FTW!

For ideas on the internet i tend to go to sci-fi which states internet will become a virtual reality world of information and pr0n. Deleting stuff for room on youure hard-drive i had to do that recently too but i can see it happening soon.

As to opiebreath I am going to say the internet will evolve but will for at least the next 30 years be somewhat similar to what it is now. Cause when the internet was just beginning it was just a bunch of text documents for schools.

As for the article what about hamsterdance.com or whatever it was, that was the very first internet site I visited, cause everyone at school was talking about it. Now you hear nothing of it.

What do you guys think will happen to the internet? Do you think it`ll just get boring one day and go out of existence? Or will it slowly evolve to something unrecognizable from it`s former self? Maybe it`ll get replaced?

It`s a serious quandary of mine.
