2 and 12 are my faves tho
even after all the controversy, i really liked the guy.
Way to put it bluntly.
Michael did so much more. As someone said before he changed the face of music. How many people everyday do that?
she was on a lot of these covers
she has been getting a lot of coverage since she was diagnosed with cancer
her death was not a surpriseas her last rights were read the day before she died.
she was not as famous as michael. michael shaped a whole generation-clothing, dancing, music.
so stop your whining!!! if you read a newspaper before this, you would know what was going on.
i agree with langdonhill. stay classy, irish star. (last one ) lol
MJ changed the face of music. He created a whole new face of music. Big difference.
"`The Thriller one made me smile. I hope he doesn`t get cremated, or else we`ll never see him Thriller-ing his way out of his grave on CNN.`
not to mention that burning plastic hurts the environment!!"
not to mention that burning plastic hurts the environment!!
And to the naysayers: This was completely unexpected. Everyone knew Farrah was on her way to passing on, but Jacko just up and keeled over out of nowhere. They both did monumental things during their time alive, but we all kind of expected Farrah to leave us, as horrible as that may sound. Sometimes the media sucks. =/
MJ made a huge impact during his career which had inspired so many music artists to follow, so many countries to adore him, he was amazing for his time no denying that. It`s why his death is getting so much more attention really. They`re still paying tribute to Ferrah on many channels though as well (I`m actually kinda surprised), one channel seemed to be running her cancer videos and playing slideshows in tribute to her.
"el universals pic of micheal reminded me alot of johnny depps version of willy wonka"
Holy crap yeah... o.o
"Michael Jackson sighted in shopping mall in Nebraska."
I`m sick of hearing about this. Yeah, yeah, he had good music, he`ll be missed, but come on. No one`s talking about Farrah Fawcett. How must her loved ones feel?
....omg imagina johnny depp as michael jackson. O_O i would love to see that
but poor Farrah Fawcett.
how is that non nice? dead is dead."
there are nicer ways to put it. to say "he passed" or other ways I can`t think of now... deceased is another...
this bugged me as well. its like when I was watching a car chase and cops pulled guns, the TV reporter was just, "he has been shot, and yes the driver was killed, repeat he has been shot dead by the cops" I was just, "WHAT!?!?!?!"
journalist go to school and at some point MUST take a class about increasing their vocabulary (like english??) and thats the best they could come up with??
how would you like it if a doctor came out of a hospital room where your mom/dad/someone you care deeply for is and says, with little sympathy, "well, she`s dead". they come out and break the news in softer words.
some people don`t/won`t understand until they experience death of a close person (friend or family member who you`re really close to).
With the amount of coverage yesterday, you would have thought another terrorist attack or something. Seriously, has anything gotten SO MANY HOURS of nonstop attention since 9/11? That`s what pisses me off.
how sad. his birthday was coming up :[
that would be the Star, a checkout isle magazine, a lot like the National inquirer
on the last one did any1 else notice the other headlines? "my dog ate my fingers" wtf
how is that non nice? dead is dead.
Get over it.
But he IS dead, so...
Elvis has now been promoted to `GOD`
i would have bought the paper to read about the dogs eating her fingers...
i mean...why would your dog eat your fingers..
why would you let them o.O
That is your opinion, the fact is that he was proven innocent.
I dont care what anyone else says, if my child was molested by ANYBODY and i knew about it, no amount of money would keep me quiet, id try everything to get to the loudest court and shout about what happened, a childs innocence is not worth any amount of money in the world so dont even go there.
I suspect it was another big day in print paper sales, something that seems to be getting rarer and rarer...
It still sad about both.
"Michael Jackson did manage to whisper a brief message to paramedics on his way to hospital.."Put me on the children`s ward"
You have got to be kidding.
ive been badmouthing that pedo for as long as i can remember...nothing new here!
Yeah, the guy was totally drated up, but come on. He was so abused as a child, he never really had a chance at being normal.
(Man, poor Farrah Fawcett totally picked the wrong day to die. xD)
Michael Jackson was a weird dude, no one can deny that. He was also an amazingly talented musician, I don`t think anyone can deny that either.
And Farrah Fawcett, it`s such a shame but at least she`s no longer in pain.
Now let`s all bask in my hilarious joke made previously.
For accuracy`s sake, the courts found him not guilty on all charges.
And, "Gary`s favorite son" sees odd to me.
I think we can ALL agree though, regardless of what we personally think of that man: He touched a lot of people in a lot of ways.
I remember him because some of his music was attached to my most cherished memory.
So may say people die everyday...and thats true. I wholeheartedly agree to that. especially when media comes to that.
just remember not everyone miss the crappy ass rapist who probably should suffer for what he did but more of his music and out it influence the world and what it means to people.
so stop knockin on people who miss him jeez. Its not like its gonna change anything anyways. people are going to miss him regardless....just saying..
Poor Farrah... She was a hottie back in the day.
lol I saw that too.
I sure am proud to be Irish =P
But I guess in a way 2 people really died.
Why do we still honor this pedophile when we should bury him facedown with a carrot in his tail?
The Post is known for tasteless headlines...
Sidenote: Too bad we don`t get the Irish Daily Star here. I really wanted to read about the lady who had her fingers eaten.
And isnt Red Eye a show on fox
You`re a f*cking idiot, do you know that? The reason he bleached his skin is because he had a rare disease (and yes it exists) that turns your skin white in blotches, so, rather than looking like a chess board, he did it all at once.
Hope you feel like an ass now, `cause, you are.
we are a strange race us Irish -_- (oh and on the 3rd page of it there is bewbs :D)
I never heard him called "the king" or "the king of pop" before, though. I thought Elvis Presley was the only one called "the king."
