This is like when the saying "If a tree falls and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?". That would then lead to "If someone says a tree doesn`t make a sound when it falls and no one is there to hear it, should you believe them?". I think not. Just because paparazzi say that Micheal molested young boys, it doesn`t mean it`s true. Some people would say that Micheal deserved to die, but really, did he? He was a legend at a time, and then he changed his appearance because he felt like it. So what? Even now, with all the Micheal Jackson jokes and rumors, his music is still appreciated and will be fo a good few generations. Personally, if an adult can`t accept this, than they are either dull-witted or just plain horrid.

Yeesh! We don`t need to be insulting lionhart`s intelligence now. All he was saying is that there`s a lot of stuff on this website, and most people don`t want to take the time to read your essay along with the 150 other comments on this post, we have other things to look at. I did like your point mistyocean, and I agree, but I got the idea after reading two sentences. It`s a good habit, and shows "capacity", to get across your point briefly, in most situations. Nobody likes a rambler.

So, Farrah Fawcett died. She went to heaven and met God. God granted her 1 wish. Farrah wished for all the little children in the world to be safe. Then God killed Michael Jackson.

(continued.) wanted kids to treasure their childhood years, because he couldn`t. Does that make him a bad person? I don`t think so. And I don`t think he molested little boys, either, I think those boys` parents told their kids what to say, because they wanted the power of ruining a celebrity`s life for their own twisted desires. Wacky theory? Probably. But I`m fine with that.

The fact of the matter is, he`s gone now, and I think, more than ever, should be remembered for the message he was trying to get across(do any of you know, the dancers for "Beat It" were actually gang members of the world-known Crimson Bloods? They were gangsters, that Michael Jackson taught how to dance). But I think he should be remembered now for his peaceful message that he was trying to get across to the world, instead of what he was rumored to do.

Personally, I don`t believe the hype about him being a child-molester. That`s all on the Paparazzi in my opinion. The Paparazzi tore Britney Spears apart, they`re doing it to Miley Cyrus, and they did it to Michael Jackson. Thing is - he was an idol, and in being so, had to be perfect. When he made a mistake, the paparazzi went ape-poo, and exploded those mistakes to the public eye as something unforgiveable. Even though he was human, just like the rest of us were. He made mistakes. He was supposed to make mistakes. But it`s rather unfair to say one way or another what type of person he was, and what he did in his spare time because the only one who knew that was himself, and his family, in other cases.

I believe, and will hold to it - he had a shady life. He never really got to be a kid having been involved in the Jackson Five and then his life exploding into demanding publicity. So, taht said, can you blame him for wanting to create a safe haven for kids all over? He probably

He was a bit wierd, but his music is quite brilliant, so he`ll be missed, and hopefully remembered for his music, not for, er, children. But that`s partly down to the media I guess.

I think over time he`ll overtake Kurt Cobain as the richest dead celebrity.

Boadicea put it the best, I think.

I think it`s sad when anyone dies.. Because even if they grew up to be.. odd (which I guess is stil in `question` for MJ) they were normal at one point.. I probably could`ve worded that better..

I`ve gotta say that while he did creep me out on many levels (acquitted or not..) the man was undeniably the king of pop and made a gigantic and everlasting impression on music, and was one talented mofo. So it sucks that the world lost that kind of talent.

On the other hand, his life seemed pretty tragic so maybe it`s good that he can finally have some peace.

(And maybe Paul McCartney can get some of his drating songs back now).

You have to take note of the differences.

Michael Jackson`s music was spread throughout the globe. For me personally, I grew up with his music, and a lot of his music influenced me, and some (like `Heal the World`) was part of my awareness growth process. And I`m certain millions of people around the world share this influence together.

9/11, and other mass death tragedies on the other hand, while is definitely a big loss and crushes our soul, did not influence me at all. I don`t know anyone who died, and none of them brought to me wonderful memories of happiness, joy, and in MJ`s case, beautiful music.

Yes, I tried to make that point as well.

And Yaez, you obviously know the law system better than I do. I didn`t follow the case very closely, and am not about to go researching it now. However a court can not tell us what actually happened, just what probably happened. Because of that, I think Vegas`s comment was rude. Yours is extremely informed, however.

You know what? I think at times like this, you don`t disrespect people. He may or may not have seriously messed up kids` lives... but honestly, I don`t have trouble admitting that I don`t have enough insight to decide whether he is or is not guilty. I do have enough insight to see that someone who absolutely revolutionized pop music. Say what you will, he was an absolute musical genius. What`s more, it`s not the time to disrespect. Don`t think bad action negates all good action - he was absolutely fantastic at what he did. The music industry will not forget him anytime soon. RIP.

Actually, Opie, that`s not how it works. It only takes 1 person out of 12 having any doubt not to get a conviction. 11 of them could have thought he was guilty as sin, and the last simply didn`t want to convict him because they liked his music. The point is, it`s a lot easier to be called innocent than guilty, as you need 12 people to think you`re guilty, but only 1 to think you`re innocent.

All credible evidence pointed to him being guilty. Including the fact that a boy was able to pick MJ`s penis out in a lineup. MJ was a monster and the world is better off now.

When I woke up this morning, rumours were flying about his death, which was recently confirmed.

I was never really a hardcore fan of MJ, never had any of his albums or even pirated any of em. But when I turned on the radio (English radios all over the country are playing tributes to him all morning) and the song `Heal The World` came on, I couldn`t hold back the tears.

A big, big loss to the world`s music industry. RIP Michael Jackson.

Maybe for you Prime. You didn`t wanna see Obama win. That was one of the most surreal moments of my entire life. This was my personal list. I was 7 when OJ happened so even though I actually remember it surprisingly well, I probably could have remembered it better than I did if I was older. You were probably only 2 or 3 so I know you don`t remember it. I`m sure people older than me would put things like Challenger and the Berlin Wall on this list. It`s allllll personal.

I actually considered putting the Steelers SBs and Chris Farley dying on this list, but those were entirely too personal.

Well, I personally think Nicole Simpson...Brown...Davis (dratshouldiknow) was murdered by the mafia but that`s just imho. Point is everytime you listen to a song, watch a music video Michael Jackson had a part in that. His molestation case was b.s at best, c`mon...framing MJ in all his bizarre ways isn`t a hard thing to do. People took so much advantage of him despite his kind efforts it was gross. Eww at you putting Dale Earheart JR. ahead of MJ`s death. MJ was the MOST famous person on the planet. End of story. No, I`m not a big superfan of his but you GOTTA give the man the respect he deserves.

peloos, he was never convicted so you can`t really judge him. people took unfair shots at him and took A LOT of advantage of him cause he`s so strange and CLEARLY those accusations were false. but a lot of people let the media brainwash him and there was a lot racism at the heart of it. people need to stop letting the rumors get to them and just say R.I.P the man CHANGED the history of music.

I can never wish death upon anybody and I feel awful for his family and all of the people who loved him, but I can`t bring myself to feel bad that he died. The guy got away with a lot of sick sh*t, so it`s hard to have any respect for the man as a human being.

Besides, this was completely inevitable. It`s the nature of this beast. Do people really think MJ was gonna die in his sleep as an old man? No, he was gonna go out relatively young and in style. It was in the cards. He even knew it was gonna happen.

Right there with you. I mean, I can certainly understand why people are upset; I have had many friends who loved his music (I never did, but to each his own). But to compare his death to JFK is a bit much.

Comparing it to Elvis makes more sense. Oh, God, I can just see it now. If we thought the "Elvis is still alive" people were nuts...just wait until the "I just saw Michael Jackson at Starbucks" people begin to appear...if not already.

So we see the deaths of Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and Michael Jackson in the same 48 hour period?

CNN is still saying:

(CNN) -- Entertainer Michael Jackson has died after being taken to a hospital on Thursday after suffering cardiac arrest, according to multiple reports including the Los Angeles Times and the Associated Press. CNN has not confirmed his death.

I wander wich major network will confirm it first?

That is so weird that you say that because i was just talking to my dad about around the same time as you were talking to your mom and my dad said the same exact thing.

My mom and I were just wondering who was going to be the third celebrity death (they say they come in 3`s). We were talking about it around 1:00 today... weird.

Finally, multiple confirmations that are not TMZ. I guess he finally got a look of himself in a mirror and his heart couldn`t take it.

The Los Angeles Times and the Associated Press are saying Jackson died. No one else has been able to confirm it yet.

They`ll confirm it sooner or later if he is dead.

I`m not even trying to be funny when I say this but BET is on a standstill--one of the hosts on a show just said "We`ll get through this together" ...really BET? but, I`m praying this is just another case of stupid gossip.
