why would someone wear that many necklaces!!
Or even "Gee, if I add one more black pearl necklace, it`ll just be too gaudy and people might laugh".
...i can only imagine how long it must take her to get ready every morning before going out...oh and i love the bat necklace...its an essential part of every vampire`s wardrobe...
"i just love your goth look"..."um, hello i`m wearing a bat necklace...i`m obviously a vampire, DUH!"
Speaking as someone interested in physiology, I find alot goths to be perant pampered nerds that got bullied in school and put on a darker appearance to boost self confidence. Too much hugs could end up like that...
I agree with you. I don`t wear shirts with labels on them honestly. You can find a nice black laced t-shirt and black skirt at any store to get the look you want without an ugly "tripp" sticker hanging off of it, but that`s just my opinion.
Honestly, for me, as shocking as her appearance maybe, its really freaking cool. Think about it: the time and effort she put into herself to make herself into walking art just just like any other American eagle chick taking 3 hours to get ready in the damn morning. Only difference is she`s freakin special and the rest of them are cookie cutter clones. Sorry "pretty girls". but the truth of the mater stands that girls like her and in fact most goths are the coolest, nicest and most respectful out of every social class. They understand respect, unlike the typical preppy douchebag who spends 90% of their time making fun of their peers. So the next time any of you "normal" social fakes make a judgment call on character, remember that.
"Reminds me of a story I heard: Some mildly crazy old guy on a subway was staring at a pink-haired mohawk punk covered with piercings. Just staring. He wouldn`t look away. Until finally, he walked up to the guy still staring. The punk said, `What`re you staring at?` The old man responded, `Well, this IS what you want, isn`t it?`"
Especially this one, "Wow, whatta f ck up". Thank you Borderered for such an insightful comment. How dare someone have an out of the ordinary taste, yeah, you sure showed them, d*ck.
Yeah, let`s all be preppy douchebags! So much fun! LOOK AT ME WEARING A PINK POLO I`M HIP AND TRENDY, I ALSO HAVE NO PERSONALITY AND ALL MY FRIENDS LOOK AND ACT JUST LIKE ME!
Some of you people need to take an acid bath, if someone dresses that way, it means they want attention? What if they well, like it, and don`t give a f*ck what you say? (which is probably the case)
Again, there is clothing out there that doesn`t have giant labels on it.
Someone dressed like you described should probaby be posted up here too. I find that pretty hard to like as well.
I agree with you. Though my style may not be as eccentric as hers (most victorian dresses and corsets are about 200-300 dollars) back when i was younger and wore some interesting things i used to get the "oh you do it for attention crap". It`s just a different style. Some people like hollister some people old navy. Some people like hot topic and some people like abercrombie. Why does everything always have to be "attention"? Why can`t someone just like something for the sake of liking it. I don`t question other people when I see them wearing ginormous sunglasses, glitter purses, seven jeans and a hollister t-shirt and "in style make-up". Don`t question me when i wear my black make-up, purple lipstick, corset tops, and skirts. People like what they like. nothing more need be said.
God this makes me wish I didn`t suck at make-up so horribly. Say what you want I find it amazing.
You know, they do have clothes without giant labels on them.
I agree that it`s not all about attention. In fact, it seems like a way to avoid attention. But, it`s just that she`s seemingly trying to draw attention away from who she really is. Just don`t claim it`s self-expression. It`s a costume.
On another note, I`m sure she`s a very nice woman and I respect her willingness to be different.
But, srsly, to a certain extent i agree with you
That may be, but I don`t hide from myself behind some outrageuous attention seeking outfit. If I`m mildly abrasive at least that`s actually me and not some character ripped off from some video game/sci-fi/fantasy...Wherever she stole this "self" expression from.
Reminds me of a story I heard: Some mildly crazy old guy on a subway was staring at a pink-haired mohawk punk covered with piercings. Just staring. He wouldn`t look away. Until finally, he walked up to the guy still staring. The punk said, "What`re you staring at?" The old man responded, "Well, this IS what you want, isn`t it?"
and i`d tap that
Its just a shame she looks daft
The subject of the photo has taken the "goth" look to a rather extreme level of attention whoring, nothing more.
Simply put: "LOOK AT ME!!! LOOK HOW MUCH MORE GOTH I AM THAN EVERYONE ELSE!!! LOOK AT ME!!! LOOK AT ME!!! LOOK AT MEEEEEEE!!!"
...nothing durty (well, ok, a little), but I mean I would like to see what she looks like w/o all that paint.
Her way is to present as something alien, or different, probably because it keeps more judgemental people away because they don`t want to interact with `the unknown`.I imagine her physical appearance also attracts like minded people, those with similar interests and those less likely to judge negatively because of an unusual appearance.
However, I could be wrong. She might be the Gothic Queen of some unknown land, but I doubt it.
Actually looks like she completely plucked her eyebrows - those don`t grow back for some people.
"You`ve got it all wrong"Since "there is no set way to go about it", they`ve got it all right.
You are absolutely right. That`s why I choose to express myself my way and she can choose her way. Her way just invovles hiding behind a costume.
You`ve got it all wrong. That`s what expression is...expressing yourself. And there is no set way to go about it. You can express yourself in whatever way you see fit. There are no rules to expressing yourself. Some are through clothes, some are through music, art, some are through poems, through design, archeticture. The list is endless.
Of course it`s a possibility and I`m sure she likes the way she looks, but isn`t much more likely she`s doing this to hide her real self behind this costume? It`s like she`s living life from behind a mask.
If it`s Halloween or a special event, that`s a bad ass costume. If it`s how she dresses everyday, she`s probably got issues.
I choose to express myself through thoughts, speech and actions. Not what I decide to put on in the morning.
she put a poo load of effort into that. you don`t create that style by yourself without an assload of planning and effort. credit to her for the look — she looks like she`s ready to begin her scene in the new Star Trek movie or some poo.
Anyway, I like this style too, but she should tone it down a notch, or at least lose the glittery tiara. maybe replace it with a skull bow or something.
you mean theres more of these things?
and why is it always daddy`s love? why not `mommy didn`t love me?"
