Ya but putting responsibility in the hands of greedy money grabbers doesn`t help.
why is it that liberals can protest all day about something they feel important but as soon as a conservative says something he feels strongly about hes a "douche",its like a passive aggressive attack on our freedom of speech. also he drives a truck, not an suv, and how does that make you a douche? how do you know its not his work truck, not everyone sits behind a computer, some people actually build things and have physical jobs that require lots of equipment. driving a truck now makes you a douche... huuh....
Then go to Iran and shut them up too!
The first republican president ever is the one who is responsible for the emancipation of slaves. Abraham Lincoln.
So the slogan is really implying that we could kick everyone off welfare with zero consequences.
that`s all i gotta say
Sounds about right, republicans sit around and see which one is the better BSer while the dems actually do something. (luckily enough the revolutionists that formed America were liberal) If they were conservative they would have tried to talk their way through it, and been subsequently shot in the effort.
But I would be wrong if I said all republicans did is bs one another, they also blame anyone but themselves.
You guys have fun with that one ;) lol
I had to create an account just to point this out.
Looks like your haughty republican self needs to "get have" some education as well.
you know i speak the truth, you can all act horrified now
Yes, that`s right. All the Democrats and Liberals are spoiled little children, and we should just go play with our toys whilst the "adults" "discuss" things.
Also, there are a lot of retarded democrats out there.
Oh yeah, if he ever drives through a bad neighborhood, his car is toast. Especially since it looks like a gas guzzler (big box van), so it represents "the man" even more. It`s going to either get totaled or stolen.
..that`s all I have to say on this matter, lest I get unnecessarily violent and aggressive. Pardon any possible spelling errors. Tis late. Oh so very late.
Obama is a TV star.
Neither one, it turns out, amounts to a hill of beans.
(joke obviously you pricks)
What did vorp ever do to you? ;)
I`ve heard that argument before, and from my experience it tends to be true. And I also find it ironic that while liberals think nothing of screaming in protest over the the stupidest things, the tea parties this year were called ridiculous and overblown. REALLY? More proof that these people are hypocrites.
And can a mod please take out the trash? (the spammer posts below me) ;)
and to maddog
why not make those who are able too, clean up for 10 hours a week?
that is the egyptian form of slavery which is unconstitutional out here, heck we fought a pretty big ass war to make it unconstitutional.
To be fair...that had more to do with Gates than with Clinton.
"I appreciate the approach you`re trying to take, but there are too many variables to attempt to blame it indisputably on one party or the other. "
True, I just don`t understand how you can blame it all on one party. I`m placing the majority of the blame on Greenspan regardless of whatever party he is in.
"now their is a bumper sticker for you"
One that lacks the others comedic timbre.
Also who drew up, approved and attached the whole subprime loan addendum to a bill as a side project to get in under clinton`s nose (like most bills are done, with either party)? The republican majority congress.
Then you could go down the list on what party affiliation Freddie Mac and Fannie May are, etc etc.
But if you want to bring up other points along the economy associated with administrations, the clinton admin oversaw the largest economic boom in American history, and the lowest number of people using federal aid in 35 years, as well as lowering the deficit to a fraction of anything G.W.Bush could dream of (the father wasn`t as bad as the son).
I knew you were going to say that.
"keep voicing your oh soo imortant political views on IABcause your reeeally gettin somewhere."
Oh-Em-Gee...you mean that on a political link...people aren`t supposed to talk politics. You must be the shining beacon of intelligence that my astroenologist (5 points if you get what i was trying to do there) told me about!
*this is your conscience speaking...I know...lets not address the issue at hand...and use ad hominem to prove our point...yeah that`ll work*
LOL. It reminds me of something I heard on the radio once. Someone asked why is that so many liberals protest anything and everything so well whereas it`s rare to see a conservative public protest of something. The answer was while the liberals are all out doing their protest, the conservatives are actually out working in their jobs, running businesses, and actually DOING something to make society better rather than sit and whine about it.
/me facepalms. Now whats the reason for this economic situation? Easy, the housing crisis. What was the problem? Too many bad loans. Why were there so many bad loans? Banks had a low Interest Rate. Who is in charge of interest rates? The Fed. Who was the head of the Fed? Greenspan. Who nominated Greenspan? CLinton. Why did Greenspan keep the Interest rates low? He believed that every american should own a home. This is the fault of Greenspan, who happens to be a liberal.
Sociology...pfft. The point is that they are getting paid to not do work. If my mom gets fired today and gets welfare, after college expenses and all that other fun stuff, we`d actually make more than she currently does.
"Considering we all live in towns and citys that have litter and graffitti problems, why not make those who are able too, clean up for 10 hours a week?"
Me and my other conservative friend were talking about this, and it makes sense. It wouldnt be welfare as much as actual work for the community. Although I disagree with the 10 hours and think it should be higher. Thats less than 2 hours a day.
I don`t know, because I`ve never met one.
Of course, every family would average 10 kids with IQ`s of less than 30, getting pregnant at 13... but hey you can`t have everything.
If it is, I`m a liberal Kentuckian.
That is great use of punctuation and capitalization.
In the UK, I think the system is that you can get jobseekers` allowance for a certain lenth of time, but if after a while you still don`t have a job then you have to do volunteer work somewhere. Like, to prove that you`re willing to work. I think.
Plus, we`ve already kind of done that through the WPA during the Great Depression.
So, my mine point was that welfare isn`t for people who get laid-off. It`s for people who, through their own fault or not, have no intention of working anytime soon.
I worked for 16 years, paid my taxes and asked for nothing. I lost my job through redundancies and had and got into to some small time buying and selling to make ends meet.Fortunetly I was lucky enough to find new employment before the current "economic crisis". I never claimed anything but I was lucky enough to be in a position to not have too. Not everyone is that fortunet.Considering people are losing their jobs through no fault of their own at the moment, this guy just comes off as an a$$. I dont dispute there are people who wont work out there, but it`s not fair or right to assume everyone who claims state benefits are lazy!
I completely agree with him, but he`s got the balls to be "vocal" about it.
