Hey CreweAlex,

That YouTube video was was recorded in 2008 at the Vokal Xtravaganzza in Ljubljana, Slovenia. SLovenia...that`s decidedly not the U.S.A. (Look at Perpetuum Jazzile`s site if you don`t believe me).

Silly Euro-snob...

Agree with BinxyBoo (great name btw) the yanks whoop and holler about anything, and at the wrong times, they should just appreciate the moment, an applause at the end of a piece is more effective anyway.

"Hey Billy, Tommy just did a poop"

"whooooop whooooooop, hell yeah"

Seriously, what is the point?

I wish people would wait til the end of a performance before they start whooping and screaming.

only difference is when we do Rain, after we tap our thights we stomp our feet to make hevier rain then go back to thigh snap then rub...

Chamber Voices did Africa for our last concert... They are the best choir at our school...
And we do "Rain" before every peformance of a musical. Its a tradition...

So that brought back great memories :)

Awesome. I actually forgot there were no instruments (other than the voices). I really want to hear more of that girl at the end though, she was great!

small confession: I was listening with my eyes closed when it began (to get the full effect, you see) and almost peed my pants when the thunder hit! Almost???

"I love a capella stuff, but there`s always the random douche beatboxing, and that just kills it for me. "

Generally I`d agree w/ this, but I really didnt think this beatboxing was bad. Plus, the song needs a beat.

"I bet Toto`s wincing in a corner over the `remixes` people are doing to their song."

lol this song has over 9000 remixes, most of them suck, but this is one of the better ones. Nevertheless, you can NEVER replace the original.

It ruined it when they started singing.

And WHY oh WHY do the audience applause in the middle of it? So annoying.

This is the first time in a long time that I haven`t agreed with a majority of I-A-Br`s >_< I thought the "rain" sounded exactly like hand rubbing and finger snapping... the thunder was the only part that even resembled a real thunderstorm for me. Yes I know, it`s not supposed to sound exact, but I`m not creaming my pants over some choir rain hands. That being said the singing was pretty cool. Wow, I feel so naughty criticizing a vid!
