instead of unplugging them (since those red mouses are obvious giveaways when unplugged) you can:

make this picture the computer`s background

    CTL+ALT+DEL > Processes > right click on explorer.exe > end process

This ends the main windows process, leaving only an unuasable background pic (the broken screen pic). So then he won`t ever notice an unplugged mouse if it has lights on it.

My dad`s LCD on his laptop cracked in the same way displayed in this video. It doesn`t appear to be cracked like glass when you touch it. It just appears cracked on the inside, which is why this prank works so well.

I could only get through a minute of that. Its stupid...

Ok the surface of LCDs is plastic, they`re not glass like CRTs, you can`t crack one.

If it was `cracked` then it wouldn`t also be on and running fine.

If the screen was `cracked` such that it was still bright (the cracked image has different colors, its not just black), then there`s no reason why the mouse and keyboard wouldn`t also work. A monitor merely displays things, your computer would work fine without it.

I don`t know if these people are stupid or just new to this. Mabie a little of both.

There is a much easier way, just print a scratch/bullet-hole onto a piece of cling wrap (wrap the cling wrap around a sheet of card to hold it as it goes through inkjet), then stick it carefully onto the monitor making sure there are no air bubbles.

    *POUND RANDOM LETTERS*

And when he switched the cable and the monitor showed its diagnostic message (with no cracking) he should have figured out it wasn`t a problem with the monitor...

Very true; likewise he should have noticed the keyboard and mouse unplugged when he unplugged the monitor, but I suspect he was in a state of extreme panic by then and not thinking clearly.

Hmmm I guess they do crack, but its not the screen - its what`s underneath.

Anyway, they`re at least partially operational even if they do break like that, so the guy really was an idiot, and this `prank` is still pretty pathetic.

Oh and I forgot to add... if the resolution of the image didn`t match the monitor`s native, then there would have been distortions - an obvious giveaway.

Not once did he try to reboot, or check that his mouse was on. All he did was sit there and smack the monitor, like thats going to help. Retard
