this would be a great replacement for wheelchairs and rascal scooters for disabled people. but only people who cannot walk should use anything like this.

Looks like the world will soon be filled with lazy morons zooming around on motorized chairs, reliant on their vehicles to perform simple tasks.

overall it`s a good idea. it holds less people so there`d be less stops if you need to go somewhere. no gas (at least i dont think) and easier to control than a car, so less accidents. it`s good for the enviornment and for people. too bad the average sized person in the US is bigger than that chair :/

Yeah. Evil. If I wanted exercise, I doubt I`d be on IAB.

Top Gear is the best thing that has ever happened to the UK. We may be stuck-up, have rotten teeth and smell like cheese (apparently), but we have Top Gear baby!

I liked it but it just seems like the next level of laziness. at least with the segway you are using SOME muscles to hold yourself up and to lean. I liked the 20mph part but imagine all the "poor" people who can`t afford it you are going to be pissing off. or the people on the road when you`re cruising in the bike lane.

the coffee idea was lame too, unless you can sync it with a phone and "text" (yes, this isn`t a verb) to your friends. make it more like the iPhone app that lets your friends know where you are with gps.

So all this is, is a really fast, hi-tech, lit up wheelchair that can communicate with another I-real?

Isn`t it called a BIKE, and a CELL PHONE?

It has a tiny wheelbase and looks alarmingly top heavy. I wonder how it`d cope with anything other than the unrealistically perfect and pothole-free road they`re testing it on.

Obviously you underestimate just how lazy some people are.

Here`s the issue:
You could drive to work in it. You could work in it. You could sleep in it.
That`s no vehicle, that replaces your legs & furniture.

Then again, it would really suck to get robbed in that.

I think the biggest hurdle they`re going to have to overcome is the Segway stigma - that is, looking like a huge dork while driving it.

include an extra battery when you buy the iReal and make it easy to swap them out. That way you never actually need to wait for a charge.

All they need to do is solve the recharging problem. Batteries required to power things like those take anywhere from thirty minutes to a full day to charge. :\
At least, I think so.
