Here`s what I don`t get:

If this were made and used in America, right now all you guys here would be yelling: "Lazy, fat-ass Americans."

But because it`s a European invention, well...it`s just genius.

Makes no sense to me.

An excerpt from Wikipedia...."Pizza has a long, complex and uncertain history that often inspires heated debate. The origin of the word "pizza" is unclear, but it first appeared in 997 in Medieval Latin, and it was in Naples in the 16th century that a galette flatbread was referred to as a pizza"

> Indeed it is Italian. Don`t know what else it could be. Kinda obvious too since Pizzas originated in Italy.

No, pizza originated in the United States in the 40`s. Also, FWIW, tomatos are a New World fruit.

I just hope for f-ing sakes these things start appearing in Canada. So many immigrants here even from Italy, they better be making some for us...

Contrary to some of the posts here, this vid has NEVER been on IAB before. The machine itself was only announced in mid march 2009 ( Info here ) and the video itself was released not long after.

There may be similar and I`m sure this vid is featured elsewhere but all in all, it`s all pretty fresh! this pizza however might be a diffrent story alltogether!

This has been around for a few years. I use it as an example of the down side of the minimum wage -- jobs that don`t generate enough profit to offset the min wage disappear. In a few years, we`ll see many pizza delivery jobs disappear to this machine.

Pizza dough is similar to normal bread dough in that it needs yeast and time to "prove". Without this process the base as seen on here is not going to taste great at all, although probably passable with cheese and toppings etc.

all that means is it will be a flat, crispy crust, not like a pan crust.

pizza dough doesn`t have anything to "prove" to anyone...

...but it does, however, need time to "proof"

They have another pizza vending machine in Italy that holds 300 frozen pizzas and cooks rhem in 3 mins, i`m guessing that despite being frozen it is probably a better tasting pizza that the yeastless base one here ;-) Did I bore you yet? :P

"OK where do I need to go to try this out for myself?"

My guess would be Italy, because any information on the machine was in Italian and its accepted currency was the Euro. But they could be in other places, if they`re anywhere at all. This kind of seemed like a promotional video of some kind, maybe they don`t really exist anywhere because it does seem like this would be frustrating to maintain and be more challenging to repair if it broke.
