Yeah, Central & Southern Illinois (Where I live) is mostly blue on those maps. Can attest that there are very nice people here.

I dunno uncleduck, I think a lot of Detroit crimes are of opportunity, not passion. We should have been up there for gluttony, though.

They must not have pulled that much data, because Detroit wasn`t red at all on Wrath.

Blue indicates low; the off-whitish yellow is in the middle. Hope that clears it up for you guys.

I believe that this is a bit bias. By a bit I mean a whole heck of a lot of According to this place California is one of the more saintly places to live.

how fun that the county I grew up in was never in the red, ever. The county I currently live in was in the red for sloth, which I totally agree with. What`s up with western Montana being in the red for Wrath and Western South Dakota in the red for Lust?!

Hahaha, yes! The south is full of sinners and the north is full of saints. That`s hilarious. Can we get a map of blue collar crime? I wonder where the basterds are that ripped off my 401k. Probably in the deep south. lol that`s way too funny

They call it the buckle of the bible belt.
But hiding underground is the largest group of satanists you will ever meet.

For gluttony and sloth the south should be solid red. Texas is the most obese state in the country. At least it was at one time, it could be Arkansas or Mississippi now.

I`m not sure if anyone can objectively quantify the seven deadly sins in this manner. Especially if they`re using the metric cited by DeutschDude9.

The reason this was a bad study was the criteria for which they gathered the data.
From the link its basically-

Greed= avg. income vs. people bellow poverty
Envy= # of thefts
wrath = violent crimes
Lust= std`s (where as if it were porn consumption, Utah would be bright red)
Gluttony= fast food restaurants (Instead of the weight of the people WTF?)
Sloth= money spent of entertainment vs. rate of employment
pride= all the sins

see the full article (talking just about the nevada map) here.
