My church does an easter musical every year. We have the songs all playing during the musical. The key people get mics, but the normal choir is mostly pre-recorded.
I`m just having difficulty figuring if the guy playing Jesus got knocked out, or if he was trying to stay in character!
drating precious that they`re too scared to nail him back up themselves
my parents actually live in the city where they do the yearly, REAL crucifixion thing...probably the most f-up thing you`ll ever see in your life...people bring the entire family to watch especially the children so they can "learn" about jesus and his sacrifice...for those who don`t know what i`m talking about; every easter in the philippines people recreate the crucifixion of christ except EVERYTHING is real (ie they really nail a guy`s hands and feet to a cross he just carried through town with people beating him)...
That`s nothing compared to the real thing.
"I hope the Jews did kill Christ. I`d do it again!"
Lol, okay good because I`m still laughing every time I watch it. Also, I`ve got to give kudos to the choir. I doubt I could even keep a strait face during that, let alone keep singing without missing a beat.
panth753, while I consider myself Christian and also did not find this offensive, that doesn`t mean we get to declare for every Christian that this is not offensive. I don`t mean to get preachy (pun intended), but everyone views things differently and may find this offensive. It`s like me saying I like to drink pickle juice out of the jar (which I do), so it must be good. Most other people would find it disgusting.
"What, you don`t think I can do it? Watch this!"
Well, like I always say, "You can lead a Xtian to knowledge but you can`t make them think".
You`re supposed to die for our sins, don`t jump off the cross like that!
P.S. Jesus didn`t die twice. He died once, came back, and then acsended into Heaven. According to the Bible of course
