Would it be weird to make a sweater for your dog out of it`s own hair?

It`d be weirder to make your dog a sweater out of YOUR hair!

@jennifer6716 & krazyluv: Interestingly enough, I`ve actually thought about asking someone if it would be possible to spin Victor`s (the dog in my default pic) fur into yarn, as his fur is obnoxiously soft.

As it turns out, the woman in the third pic has the same type of dog as mine, a German Shepherd/ Akita mix so that answers the can it be done question... As for washing out the smell, it wouldn`t be difficult at all. Minks are in the same family as skunks, and they are funky-smelling little buggers... if they can get the stink out of mink, (I swear I didn`t do that on purpose) then dog smell can be washed away just as easily.

Besides, I give Victor a bath every two or three weeks when the weather`s warm and once he`s dry, he smells pretty good, and not "doggy" at all.

I don`t know...I find this somewhat weird, somehow, even though simple logic tells me that it should be LESS weird that wearing wool.

At least from a practicality standpoint.

This probably seems really odd to most people but in the city I live in there is a lady who has runs a business making dog fur mitts ,sweaters ,hats etc.
The hair does not smell "doggy " at all any more than any other fur smells like the animal it came from after it is processed .It also looks really nice and is very soft and very warm .

I just found out that my grandmother stuffs pillows with her Pomeranian`s fur. I wouldn`t put this past her. As for me? It`s kinda creepy, but I suppose I`d try something little, just to say I did.
