"Is it just me, or do all giant robot battles in recent years take place in San Francisco?"

That could have something to do with the fact that Lucas films is in the Bay Area and has some of the best technology to make these types of films.

Not to mention the fact that because New York City was once the center of Attention in nearly every blockbuster film, it now costs an arm and a leg to shoot there.

Great CGI and effects up until the point of the explosion, which was kind of dull in comparison to everything else.

Also, who ever made out that the Enterprise was this powerful thing, that could never be destroyed? It was constantly being screwed over, every damn episode, that doesn`t make it less awesome.

Stak Trek was awesome, better than any of the Star Wars films of the last 15 years.

what they didn`t show is when Janeway and voyager took out the deathstar and the borg assimilated the storm troopers

Could have been a better explosion, but I love how it is made to almost be realistic. (especially the death star)

Lol wow, enterprise just got dominated. Kind of a overkill though, the Death Star`s Death Ray is meant to destroy planets, not pooty space ships.

It`d be a better fight with Death Star and the Borg cube. Falcon and Enterprise would probably be more entertaining.

I prefer Star Wars over Star Trek,
`cept its more like I care a little less about Star Trek than Star Wars.

"Well thats clearly impossible..."

Here, let me throw in my two cents about the current discussion.

Two cents thrown.

Well thats clearly impossible. Star wars use high powered lasers, while star trek uses Phasers, which as you all should know are stupidly more powerful, so lasers wouldn`t even knock the shields down to 99% as shown on an episode of TNG (forgot which one =[). *nerd rant over*"

I`ve never really watched either Star Trek or Starwars, but, how can you compare two fictional things that don`t exist in eachothers world?

They made one mistake: the Enterprise can`t enter the atmosphere; it would burn up.
Wait, I`m not a nerd; how`d I know that??!!
***sigh***

Kind of like using a sledgehammer to smash an ant. Wasn`t the Death Star designed to destroy planets?

Not that I`m a nerd and care about this kind of stuff.

Cough.

The second Death Star was able to shoot a lower level energy weapon capable of destroying capital ships. Who posted that BS about it not doing any damage... keep dreaming kid.

... and then the Borg Cube comes in and assimilates the Death Star.

I think a superlaser capable of destroying a planet could knock down the shields on the enterprise pretty easily, obsidian.

*nerd retort over*

TR-Wolf, When they say "a long time ago" at the beginning of star wars, i just take that to mean that someone in their future is re-telling the story, so it`s still kinda in the future, and could be in star trek era.

How did you get that to look so real? As I remember, the Klingons destroyed the Death Star III just moments before this video started.

panth753, San Francisco is where Starfleet Headquarters is in Star Trek.

However Star Wars was a long time ago, and Star Trek is in a long time ahead, so they couldnt meet. Its like having a man from Medieval Times fighting someone from the 80s.

And that was the last time Star Fleet ever sent a sternly worded letter tot eh empire about its `wookie rights violations`

Pretty cool. Great apart from the shockingly poor explosion design. A comedy mushroom cloud would have had the same effect.

If that was really the Death Star`s energy weapon, Earth would have been blown up in the process! THIS IS FAKE! >-(
