0.4 Micrograms = 0.0000004 grams.

Slugs: we are both wrong.

"To this day, Coca-Cola uses as an ingredient a cocaine-free coca leaf extract prepared at a Stepan Company plant in Maywood, New Jersey."

BTW - this is not regular Red Bull, it`s Red Bull Cola that has the coca.

"Cocaine can`t be ingested through epithelial tissue that lines the gut, there for it would have no effect"

Yes, cocaine can be ingested orally to induce a high, but .4 micrograms couldn`t even get a toddler high, especially since it`s .4 micrograms per liter, not even per can. I`d be more worried about the copious amounts of sugar and caffeine.

Cocaine can`t be ingested through epithelial tissue that lines the gut, there for it would have no effect, also who the drat could get high off 0.4 micrograms, its impossible, you would need to drink hundreds of them. The fact that the drink will be produced efficiently as possible red bull would not waste time or money in getting cocaine into there drinks, maybe a little fell off one of the workers jacket from the night before.
I rest my case

"a test it commissioned itself found no cocaine traces."

Gee....big surprise!! Like a tobacco company testing cigarettes and discovering that they`re actually good for you!

Good to know.. military folk drink it all the time and we can get jailed for even minute traces in our bloodstream. Well, that`s one off the market for me. More Mtn Dew!

Coca cola is not made from coca leaves, at least not anymore. They stopped adding coca completely in 1929. It does, however, get it`s name from coca.

Uhhhhh Coca Cola is made from coca leaves. Big deal. I bet if you tested Coke it would have "traces" too.

It does have coca in it. A friend of mine really loves the stuff and gave me a few cans to try. It clearly lists in the ingredients "coca leaves". I was wondering how long it was going to take until someone freaked out about it.
