For a book with such a prestigious title, the Oxford English Dictionary is allowing some pretty stupid words in it.

Honestly? That`s what UrbanDictionary is for! To put all the nonsense there, so we don`t ruin our dictionaries with silly speak.

And I can live with some of those, but "Grrrl"?! Are you f-cking kidding?

They add this crap and yet most dictionaries do not even add curse words or slang. I think people need an official definition for the F word more than Grrrl or Muggle.

Soon they`ll be adding WTF, FTW, LOLcats, purposely misspelled words that are supposed to be cute, and all that other crap. Unless they already did.

I thought they added words once they became part of everyday language. I hadn`t even heard of half of those. Now it`s just a publicity stunt.

Why is Gaydar "a HOMOSEXUAL person`s ability to detect other homosexuals"? Straight people have a Gaydar too.

Yea... added to the Urban dictionary mabie... Nice try cracked. For a word to be entered, it has to be widely used and since `not many` of us have heard of these words (or most of them), then they can`t be widely used, hence they`re not in the official dictionary.

They should just go ahead and put conversate in there. Makes me cringe, that one. And when did the word "of" drop out of "out of the car" to make outthecar? I guess those aren`t quite the same, but I felt like ranting. I love frankenfood and cyberslacker.

"Grrrl"

How would you pronounce that anyway? I assumed it was "Grrr" with an "L" at the end until I realised that`s how "Girl" is pronounce.

You forgot "chav" which, for some inexplicable reason, people in the South of England who have just discovered this word cannot pronounce. It has a long "A" for crying out loud!

I`m a southener, i say it like `Gav` as in short for Gavin. I have never heard any other pronounciation????

lol at "frankenfood" being derogatory. I`m sure the particular food item you`re referring to will have it`s reputation tarnished and it`s ego shattered.

Also, FU Firefox spellchecker, frankenfood is a word now.

17 Famous People Suspected of Having Superpowers

NBC`s Heroes features many evolved humans with extraordinary abilities. We believe there are superhumans among us and that the history books are full of evidence that superpowered people do exist...or do they? Famous people, are you on the list?

Lets blamestorm who added these word to the dictionary!
Actually there are quite a few people who are obsessed with Ego-surfing that i know... unfortunately.
A - "Hey my picture shows up on Google!"
B - "so?"
A - "Yours doesn`t!"

Actually no, I don`t believe this. Didn`t they add bouncebackability last year?

And even if they were adding them, it`s not like they`re going to be in the concise version of the dictionary. They`re all words that are being used somewhere by someone, so they get listed along with every other word that people have ever used. Dictionary makers don`t get a choice.

Oh God, the anticipation is killing me!

Why, Oxford English Dictionary? Why? These are crap pop-culture retard words, they won`t last more than a few years.

It`s the equivalent of putting Shamwow guy in the list of most influential people of all history. It`s wank.
